Makeup by Bhakti

Bhakti is honestly the best. She’s so good at what she does and such a lovely person to be around that I never felt the need to keep checking on anything. I trusted her process completely. What I really appreciated was how she kept reminding me that I could change my mind about anything at any point. That was so comforting and something I’ve rarely seen makeup artists say so openly. For my sangeet, we did a super fun editorial hair look. It definitely wasn’t the easiest style, but she never once mentioned that it was tough or time consuming. We kept experimenting until we found exactly what worked and she never rushed me. I was so scared to put on lenses even though I wanted to try them on, she reassured me that even if it doesn’t work out or I’m even mildly uncomfortable, we can just take them out without causing any delays or spoiling the makeup. Bhakti put the lenses in so easily, no pain and in one go, asked me to let them settle in for sometime and when they didn’t work, she simply took them out without any fuss. On the wedding day, things got a little chaotic and emotional, but Bhakti was such a calm presence. She let me cry, fixed my concealer multiple times, and just held the space so beautifully. That kind of energy is so important to have around you as a bride. Also in case someone needs to hear this, she has zero hesitation in being the bad guy if you need people out of your room or a vendor scolded and sometimes you really need someone like that in your corner. Beyond makeup and hair, she was giving me and my friends mini styling consultations and helping with everything in between. She truly goes above and beyond. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to have by my side through it all!
