Firstly thank you so much for the EXCEPTIONAL MAKEUP LOOKS on both my wedding and reception events, I LOVED them so much <3 MY MAKEUP LOOKS: 1. Wedding makeup:- Warm, Subtle, Natural yet features enhancing traditional Indian bridal look. 2. Reception makeup:- Modern, Soft glammed eyes & glossy lips, sexy yet subtle cocktail party look. "Foundation layer:- thin, not at all cakey, matched my skintone, sat well on the face and lasted all night (Yes! creased only at my smile lines around my mouth). Trust me that is very normal, specially for the entire night non-touched up makeup look." I booked Mrinalini more than a month before my wedding in India and that too while sitting in Europe (actively and purposefully scrolling through Instagram). I almost booked another, but thankfully ended up on Mrinalini's profile. I sent her the same inquiry texts as other makeup artists I was in touch with, however her profile stood apart to me. I was sharing pictures of nude-minimalist soft glam bridal makeup looks, while others said they can pull off, but their profile on social media lacked the examples, so my trust was not won. (Let's say their makeup looks didn't come off as diverse as Mrinalini's). I got in touch with Mrinalini and happily booked her within an hour of writing to her. And on top of it, she was stamped "approved" by my dear girlfriends, what more could I want. I personally think her Insta profile is very smartly represented. I saw makeup looks of brides with diverse Indian skin types, and none to me looked plastered with heavy layer of foundation and excessively pink cheeks like monkey's bum, so I was glad I wont be turned into one :D. Secondly I loved her quick videos about foundation applying techniques, as to how a thin layer as opposed to a thick one makes makeup look natural and truly beautiful. This is where I was sold. And guess what she also uploads videos of herself doing different makeup looks, I personally adore it. She looks beautiful in them and one can see the artist using herself as a canvas, keep doing them Mrinalini <3 :) Last and not the least. She is has a great team of hairstylist that collaborate with her. She adapts to the needs to the brides, makes them feel comfortable. And to tell you a very well known truth: A good makeup artist knows what they are doing, so don't get panicked if you see yourself half way through, let them finish, it will all make sense in the end. And my personal suggestion to all brides:- Do tell your makeup artist in the very beginning what you are and aren't comfortable with, like do you want false lashes, coloured lenses, if its your first time to proper makeup look, what will you be comfortable carrying the whole night etc etc. Good ones listen and work accordingly. And folks where Mrinalini is concerned and if your budget allows it, BOOK HER, DON'T THINK TWICE. You won't regret it and everyone can't help but complement you on your special day :)
