Based in kolkata, the famous fashion & costume designer, Pakhi Bhartia launched her label “Pakkhi” in the year 1996. The uniqueness of her creations has helped to make a mark in the fashion world. She is also a prominent member of Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and Indian Merchant Chamber of Commerce (Ladies Wing). It was in 2006, when she made her debut at Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week with her brand “Pakkhi”. Amidst the array of upscale designers, her subtle creative imagination had grabbed attention of admirers. She has continually drawn inspiration from the rich textile heritage and design legacy spread over Bengal and imbibed its spirit and legacy in her creations.
