I had a very very bad experience....don't take anything from these design house... quality was to poor

I had a very bad experience with Preethi. She agreed to stitch 6 lehengas for my kids on our first call. She knew I am from the US and that I will only be able to coordinate the order over the phone. I bought the materials and delivered them to her from Mysore Udyog, with great difficulty after asking her several times she shared some paint palettes that will assist in color coordinating the lehengas to the blouses (a quick internet search and u can get these). She was refusing to start the design ideas till she got an advance, which I understand. But even after paying her an advance of 15K she did not assist in measurements, she sent me a pic and asked me to follow and do it myself. She refused to answer back promptly reply to my messages, it was either family time or the fact that she does not work on weekends. She also hardly gave me give any suggestions or inputs. When I insisted her to send me some designs she did for her client, she sent me some very goddy dresses. She kept mentioning to me that all her US clients apparently give her a budget and trust her to come up with a design. I am not sure how anyone will okay with that, its not like she is well know reputed designer. All in all after 2 weeks of staying up late to coordinate my timings with her, she said that she can only work between 11:30 am - 5:30pm IST and apparently she is a designer and not a tailor and doesn't like to be told what to do. The only pro to this was she returned my material and money. All in all I am glad I did not go with her, I cant imagine how much more stressful it would have been dealing with such an unprofessional designer who does not value her customers needs and taste and neither has good suggestion to give. If you guys are from the US please kindly think twice before working with her.Its a pain !!!

Riya Kodali Exceeded my expections, ultimate fashion designer in Bangalore. She is not money minded like most of the other designers but what she wants is the client satisfaction. Very polite and calm. Though I had very little time for the special occassion, she went that extra mile to make sure to deliver my kurta on time.. Thank you Riya..Keep rocking as always..

I got my wedding material from a very worse vendor. I went to Riya’s design house, and she changed everything about my material and made it look fabulous. Rakhi, who is assistant of Riya, did my partner’s and my outfit and I genuinely am delighted how everything turned up.

On a business trip a couple of years ago I bought a "runway" dress for my wife and, unfortunately I over-paid $500 dollars for it. When I gave it to my wife we found that the dress was filthy and torn in several places. Of course, it was never worn. We contacted Kodali but she refused to refund the money at first, but she did ask to return the dress. We did, on hopes that we would get at least a partial refund. Nothing. When my wife wrote a bad review Kodali responded publicly with a series of false and libelous accusations against us! Further, she demanded that we take down the review. She never returned the dress or made a refund. Her comments, her refusal to provide a refund, and the fact that she kept the dress (and perhaps sold it again) would land her in court in the U.S. We are looking into legal proceedings in India.

worst experience..please don't even think abt going to this designer house for your dream day, my friend ordered a lehnga from a picture n they ruined it completely, they didn't ask abt her opinion at all not abt the material not abt the color n not abt the work or the borders they were going to use on her lehnga. my friend gave 20,000 advance payment n they were not even bother about taking her opinion on anything and when you argue they boast about their designer skills. with only abt 10 days left to her wedding my friend is dealing with such unprofessional people.

If i can describe this so called design house is a shitty disaster. The experience and pain I had gone through during my wedding month it's like hell. who ever is reading the review please read it comppetely so that you will get to know the real side of this and I m attaching all the pictures and screenshot for your reference. I went to stich my wedding lehenga on Apr 20th nd described everything what i want and asked them show me the sample of color, fabric, and design. Then after 7 8 days when I went for a trial they showed me one pattern where the color is completely changed. when i told they told the change can't happen coz blouse is already 95% completed and we purchased the complete fabric. who purchase the complete material and start the production without showing it to the customer. It took another 10 to 15 days of discussion and argument then I finally accept the color forcefully. Then after 6 7 days they called me for the trial and what they showed me it's a shitty skirt which had so many defects (refer the attached pictures). I had only 10 to 15 days and I didn't have anything finalised and these people were showing me some piece which you will not prefer to wear in others marraige with a high price range and the same you can get it in commercial market with very very very very less price. Now I don't have any clue what to wear in my marraige coz nobody will stich the bridal lehenga within 10days. They took rs20000 of advance and now they are saying no refund. After swiping my bank card they didn't give me the receipt and when I asked they told keep trust on us nothing will happen. they didn't give me the receipt but they are charging the complete gst price from me. only the rich people can take the risk of going with her design. so to everybody it's a humble request please don't go to her for a design otherwise they will ruin hope and trust with their money minded mentality. please don't take risk with ur hard earning money.

Riya is a truly incredible award winning young designer. When you go to such a designer, you go with a mindset that it will be super expensive and you just can't get your pick there. But not with Riya, you simply won't get disappointed if you select Riya Kodali Design House. I always wanted to wear a nice western gown that goes with my personality for my wedding reception. And for my husband, I wanted to go with a piece that complements my look. Riya sat with us, understood us a couple and the kind of event we are going for. She even got the details of the venue. Like she suggested me to go for a "net gown" as its an outdoor wedding with a lot of greenery around. She designed a red carpet look for both of us. For me a "red gown" and for Prashant a classic "black tuxedo". Our look was praised by every one and most importantly we both felt great in that look. Thanks Riya for designing the pieces that complemented so amazingly well with our personalities and our wedding reception.

Several months ago, when I had finally had the dates for my wedding, I was on the lookout for options, - that person who’d make my wedding gown. Being a Christian bride, I have always dreamed of an aisle full of friends and family and me walking down with my father, wearing the most beautiful dress I had ever worn. My search in Bangalore brought me to the Riya Kodali Design House. I walked in the first time, and was truly amazed by how welcoming Riya and her team were. I knew I wouldn’t want to wear a traditional white gown since they looked too mainstream to me. So even before I went in, I knew I wanted dull gold and a ton of bling (lover of bling!). Riya’s collection of fabrics amazed me, they looked straight out of my dream. She had them all, bling in different amounts, several types of gold, and really classy pieces. Like most brides, I was extremely nervous as I was experimenting on my big day. I kept calling Riya almost all days (several times at wee hours in the night) even on the smallest question/anxiety. But she were extremely patient, kind and above all very understanding. I wouldn’t have imagined anyone else be so patient when they have too many anxious brides to attend to. But this place taught me otherwise, that there are still people out there who genuinely understand your anxieties as a bride and put their heart and soul to making sure your day is truly your best. Once my first fitting was done, I had a few changes to make. I had lost more weight than I thought and hence most things had to be made tighter and fit better. They did that in no time. From my first fitting to the last, I would have made too many changes, but Riya and her team were perfectionists themselves who made each and every element exactly how it should be. They even made a veil for me, very last minute since I wasn’t initially planning to wear one, and it looked perfect. I walked through my dream, down an aisle full of friends and family, with my father by my side, and married my best friend, wearing the best outfit I have worn in my life! And I owe it completely to, Riya and Team Riya Kodali (including their MasterJi). They were phenomenal.

A woman of today, a woman holding different levels of beautiful outfits latched on her back which defines that a girl is beautiful but can be more beautiful by wearing a correct choice of dress. Terrible Disastrous Experience!! We ordered 4 outfits from Riya Kodali for a wedding in India. Despite having my cousin visit her at the store with every last detail - which included annotated pictures, description (colours, size, design, etc) and most importantly, budget, she produced a set of shoddy disgusting outfits that were absolutely unusable. The Colors were psychedelic jarring, the cloth material was extremely sub-standard (shabby with threads coming off) and the outfit was lacking any 'handicraft' (zari work) despite her lofty claims. Strangely, she got the sizes absolutely wrong for the same person! One arm was oversized, the other short. Worst of all - she charged us twice the original amount citing 'miscommunication' in the budget. And when we confronted her (with documented evidence), she refused to acknowledge her mistake, was extremely rude, unprofessional and arrogant. And if this wasn't enough, I saw an exact (no exaggeration) replica of her ?designed? outfit at a local Mumbai store (Manyavaar) for half the price! (She of course claims that ?..people steal her ideas?) She is a desperate wannabe designer . It does not need a couture cognoscenti to see that she is a major scam. Steer clear from her.

Riya has an amazing eye for color and is constantly focused on trend and future forecasting.Her strong sense of color and design are equal to her eye for style and her designing skills. A great combination!! She cant possibly go wrong with her judgement. We gave a very tight deadline and she accepted challenge , did her magic and both of us attires received very good compliments. Thats all keep up the good work, Thanks a tonn Riya !

I got reception lehanga for myself & wedding sherwani for my fiancee done from Riya Kodali....The experience has been so warm & welcoming. We had just 10 to 12 days for my lehanga & just 2 days for Sherwani....we went to Riya Kodali studio with such tight schedule as everything was planned in very short notice. We had unrealistic hope as we know that no designer would ever say yes to such short notice...but we were surprised with Riya's approach. She made impossible things possible. She made everything work for us without compromising on design or quality, delivered both attires as promised on time. I am falling short of words to express how happy me and my family are to have met this brilliant & compassionate designer. She is definitely the BEST, SUPER FAST, VERY WARM, COMPASSIONATE designer.

I got my suit tux,suit and a gown for my sister designed and done from Riya Kodali...What can I say?The fits and cuts were so fine and best!......Also,unlike other designers,she is a very warm and down to earth person and gets into the details of the needs of the clients herself.Her approach,timely coordination,trials and delivery was super fast,hassle free and remarkably commendable.Also a big thank you to her team,they were equally warm and compassionate.Having tried all the designers including P N Rao,Riya Kodali is definitely the best and very warm and accommodating.....cheers to her and team Riya Kodali....A definite recommendation to all my friends and family.

In a word, it was a disaster. The outfits we ordered were unusable. The finishing was shoddy, cuts and fits uneven and not at all worth the pricetag and designs are not exclusive at all. But still worse was Riya Kodali's attitude -- utterly unprofessional, rude and arrogant with a refusal to accept mistakes. All in all it was a terrible experience and we had to buy an alternative off the shelf a day before the wedding functions as her product was unusable. Having lost over 350 pounds but more importantly having put up with an awful attitude I would say steer clear.
