After reviewing many MUA profiles and speaking to over 20 professionals, I finalized on Sakshi. Looking back, this was the BEST decision I could have made for my wedding! Sakshi was very easy to talk to, made you feel heard and made the entire process a breeze. She was invested right from the beginning - sharing skincare tips / products for me to introduce into my regime. I shared outfits as and when I finalized them and she was always available to discuss looks and options. I am not someone who does a lot of makeup on a daily basis and she understood my preferences and took them into consideration. Sakshi did my make-up (airbrush) for both my Sangeet and my wedding in May. My main concern was the makeup bleeding out or smudging since I was getting married in the thick of summers. But despite sweaty dance night at my Sangeet and a long 12 hour wedding, my makeup stayed in place and was near flawless on both days, barely requiring any touch up! The Sangeet look with graphic liner and rhinestones was my favourite and the one I was looking fwd to the most and I'm extremely glad that it turned out well. Wedding planning can be stressful especially if you got to squeeze all of it in 3 months so no wonder I was stressing about it and especially for the right make up artist cos I was very particular about what I want. It had to be super close to how I look everyday but at the same time elevated to be a level that is right for your wedding day. I am really happy with the decision of asking Sakshi to be my MUA. She did my make-up for the Sagan and Wedding. I booked Sakshi for my wedding and engagement both immediately after I saw her Instagram profile 'sakshimalikstudio'. I must say Sakshi is an artist by true means, what she does with make up is actually very intricate and detailed, per me three things are what make or break a makeup - Base, Eyes and Lips, be it eyes or the way she defines lips she was on point. Given it was a cross community wedding, I had a list of events and I wanted to look different and ofcourse perfect in each attire. My wedding was a half Tamil and half Bong wedding and like all tamilian weddings was early in the morning. Sakshi was a complete professional and was there at the venue at sharp 3:30 am to turn me into the perfect tamilian bride. She ensured that she kept the make up subtle and perfect to the occasion. My biggest worry was that most make up artists dont understand dusky skin. However, Sakshi put all my worries to rest and gave me the look that enhanced my features without trying to make me look 'Fairer'.
