For the Nikah I went for an ivory white embellished Seema Gujral lehenga. And the lehenga was truly a dream! From the handwork to the fit, it was absolutely gorgeous. They were kind enough to customise the outfit as per my needs and the co-ordination with the team in Delhi was seamless. When I received the outfit, it was not an inch loose or tight, it was just the perfect fit. It was royal, sophisticated and so much more than just a lehenga. This outfit will always hold a special place in my heart.

I don’t even know where to begin with how poor my experience has been. First thing is - DO NOT ORDER DIRECTLY FROM THEM. Go through a retailer like Aza or Pernia if you really want a Seema Gujral design. Their customer service is the most unprofessional and ineffective I have ever had to deal with. I ordered a custom gown with my measurements and received an incredibly ill-fitting gown. The customer service team insisted it was made to my measurements and offered zero solutions until I threatened to leave an honest review (you can see how it ended especially since I am writing this review). Because they dragged their feet so long in “offering” to fix it (all while refusing to admit any culpability in what was clearly an oddly cut and tailored gown) I took it to my local, trusted tailor. Here is what she said was everything wrong with the gown: - it was cut poorly - whoever made it clearly didn’t stop to think whether or not it would properly fit a human body with how weirdly the shoulder and arm fabric was tailored - the original tailor failed to account for the fact that shrinkage happens when sewing on extensive beading - the zipper was about to snap because of how cheap it is Given these concerns and how long Seema Gujral customer service took (4 full days of back and forth before even offering to fix it for me) when I have a November 5th deadline for the dress, I paid my tailor to fix it so I have something to wear at my wedding reception. I asked customer service to at the very least refund me the cost of alterations I am incurring ($350 - which doesn’t include the hour I spent with my tailor here trying to figure out how to salvage the dress) and they refused. I do not think this is an unreasonable request when they know I have a tight turnaround AND dragged their feet on “helping” me themselves. What a joke of a company - I hope the designer takes a good stock of who she has working for her and realizes her team is sullying her brand and her name. Even though I love her designs, I am NEVER ordering a Seema Gujral outfit again. Please believe me when I say to go through a big retailer to avoid the stress and frankly, heartache dealing with this has caused. - Unhappy bride

I spent a lot of time and effort searching for the perfect reception dress and came across a very beautiful piece on Seema Gujral's website. It was definitely out of my budget but I fell in love with the dress. I was connected with Deepika on WhatsApp and placed my order - sent my measurements and the customizations I wanted for the outfit. I live in the US and was told that I would receive my outfit 6 weeks after placing my order. 6 weeks flew by and I received no update on my outfit so I started reaching out to Deepika. She would send me vague messages letting me know that my outfit was almost ready or would not respond at all. This happened for 2-3 weeks and then I escalated the matter. I was put in touch with Anita, who said she would take care of it and ensure I received my outfit. About a week and half, Anita sent me a confirmation of what my outfit looked like and the measurements - it was wrong. I had asked for a different style blouse and had provided Deepika with updated measurements shortly after I placed the order. I'm not sure how but Anita did end up helping me get the measurements corrected and the style blouse that I wanted - the outfit was shipped to the US about a week later. However when I received the outfit, everything fit except the skirt did not sit well - something was off. So I took my skirt to a local tailor, who upon examining the outfit, found that the tule was stiched in very incorrectly, which was why the skirt was not flaring properly. It became clear to my that my outfit was made last minute and carelessly. I informed Anita about this, who said she would look into it, but eventually stopped responding. So 1 week before my wedding, I had to get this VERY VERY expensive "designer" outfit fixed and had to pay out of pocket for additional tailoring (the tailor had to detach all the tule and re-attach it properly - he also removed about 6 ft of unnecessary tule). So in all my experience with Seema Gujral was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. I regret purchasing my reception outfit from here and would NOT recommend them to any future brides.

Awful customer service. I order my outfit months ago and it was supposed to ship mid -November and they delayed it by a month with no reason. They were horrible at communicating with me and would not respond to my messages or respond days later with one-word answers. When it finally shipped, they shipped it to the wrong location and also did not even notify me that it had shipped and did not provide tracking. When I finally got my outfit there were loose threads and it was really poorly packaged. No proper box or garment bag. Their designs are beautiful but the headache is not worth it, I will never be ordering from here again.

Terrible experience! If you are looking for bridal lehenga for your big day and live in US, I will caution you from making a purchase with this designer. The designs are absolutely pretty from what I can see on their website and If I ever get my lehenga on time but the customer service is absolutely pathetic. I placed my order almost 2 months ago and I am 2 weeks away from my wedding and haven’t heard a word. At this point I can only hope that a miracle happens and I get it shipped and delivered on time. Would never buy anything from this designer. Not worth the hassle and panic for your big day

Absolutely horrible customer service. I was a person willing to splurge and their method of contact is the worst in this modern time and age. Their communication channel (especially whatsapp) seems to be handled by an unprofessional immature child. First they did not respond then after many follow ups, they didn’t organise appointments and yet didn’t even have the courtesy to write a message- sent me an audio note saying “I will send you the PayTM details transfer deposit”. Finally went ahead with Sabyasachi- they were extremely easy to work with and have phenomenal customer service. Seema Gujral label is terrible.

What seemed to be going well in the beginning has now become a disaster. My outfit was supposed to be delivered in August but we’re now in the second week of October and I’m still waiting. The blouse for my lehenga was made wrong the first time round and it’s been a challenge trying to achieve the look I was hoping for and clearly communicated right from the beginning. I put my full trust in them, made full payment, only to be completely ignored by team and I still have no idea when my outfit will be ready. While I had very high expectations, I will not be recommending them to any of my friends in Singapore.

I had a terrible experience. With the stress of covid I thought shopping with a designer would have been one of the least stressful items on my checklist. At Seema Gujral communication was always delayed, I had to follow up on them every single time. I told them I’m in Australia and in the rare occasion I got a response it would be 2am-3am! Cusotmer service was slow and seemed uninterested in assisting. I was still patient and regrettably placed my order online for an outfit because it looked nice online. Once outfit arrived all the sequin was stuck to each other, then as I opened the saree the sequin stuck on was falling on the ground. Draped the saree and walked down the hallway leaving a trail of sequin behind me. I was so appalled by the quality of the product considering how much I paid. When I left a review the SG team got in touch saying someone will be making time to understand what happened, and in true form they forgot about me and I had to follow up on them. I was told again someone will be in touch, still nothing after a week so I told them forget about it, I will not recommend SG to anyone in my network across Australia. There are other fantastic designers with much better Cusotmer service and products. Might be okay with lehengas, definitely a waste of money buying sarees.

I was looking for a light weight but gorgeous lehenga. I fell in love with this one the moment I saw it on their website but had my doubts. The team shared pictures and videos that helped me make a decision. It wasn’t only delivered on time but also fitted me perfectly. Size and dimensions were shared over a phone call /WhatsApp texts from miles away ( I Live in US). I was expecting a much better packing though. I loved the lehenga so much that wore it again for my post wedding shoot, for the wedding I paired it with a beautiful bandhani dupatta. A 4.5 for the overall experience.

Choosing the wedding outfit is one of the most difficult decision but as soon as I entered their store, I knew I'm going to end up buying my wedding outfit from here. I am based in the US and stumbled upon Seema Gujral Design on instagram through a wedding featured on Wed Me Good. I worked with Anita to shop for a lengha for my reception and send my measurements virtually. Anita was SO patient with me as we navigated alternate time zones and my crazy work schedules at the hospital. I picked a deep crimson lengha with very intricate work for my reception and got SO many complements on the lengha. My sister also purchased an outfit from this designer through a third party in the US (My Kynah). I submitted videos of my measurements and only had some adjustments necessary for the blouse. Their website has so many amazing lenghas and other outfits! I absolutely love their style which is a perfect balance of glamourous and traditional! I legitimately wish I could buy so many more pieces from them, especially from the new Spring 2021 and Summer 2021 collection...but the outfits are heavy and intricate that I need to find a large event to wear them at first!

Seema Gujral did an absolutely beautiful job on the lehenga. It looked so good. I got it from the Bridal Asia Fair held in Mumbai. I had sent her my measurements and that's it, she delivered it from Delhi. I didn't even try it once, it was so perfect.
