We hired Dew Co for our wedding ceremonies held on 4th–5th February at Mountview, followed by the reception at Taj Chandigarh. What was promised to us and what was delivered were two very different realities. While the Haldi and Sangeet décor was satisfactory (largely because it relied heavily on props), the main wedding day was an absolute disappointment. The Baraat was scheduled to arrive at 10:00 AM, yet the décor was incomplete at that time. For an event of this scale and cost, such lack of preparedness is unacceptable. The Milni haars that were specifically promised were not provided; instead, makeshift marigold garlands were assembled on the spot. The bride’s phoolon ki chaadar was entirely different from what had been finalized — and to our shock, it was made of artificial flowers that looked cheap and tacky. The Varmala was not made with fresh flowers and did not even last until the Vidaai at 3 PM. This was a day wedding where fresh floral work was meant to be the highlight. We were assured that the floral composition would be 70% real and 30% artificial. In reality, nearly 80% of the décor flowers were artificial. This was a clear deviation from commitment. The disappointment continued at the reception at Taj Chandigarh. The main entrance — the first point of contact for guests — was left completely undecorated. Instead, effort was put into decorating the back entrance near the chaat stalls. This lack of planning and prioritization was baffling. Dew Co charged us approximately ₹11 lakhs for décor. For that amount, one expects professionalism, execution excellence, and adherence to commitments. Instead, we received half-hearted execution and blatant compromises. They presented polished PPTs filled with jargon and grand promises, which led us to place complete trust in them for one of the most important days of our lives. What they delivered fell far short of those assurances. Moreover on the wedding day they pressurised us to make the entire payment in advance before the function, no other vendor did the same. The wedding day, in particular, was severely impacted due to their poor execution and deviation from agreed specifications. This was a significant letdown on a once-in-a-lifetime event. I would strongly advise future clients to insist on written agreement strictly mentioning all deliverables and payment terms, and on-ground supervision if considering their services.

Weddings are deeply meaningful occasions, and families often turn to planners expecting support, creativity, and peace of mind. The Dew Company, Chandigarh, appeared impressive during initial discussions, with confident assurances and polished presentations. Premium rates were quoted — in fact, four to five times higher than the standard industry benchmarks. The assumption was that these costs would be justified by unique ideas, superior quality, and a memorable 'wow factor.' In practice, however, the outcome did not match the promise. While arrangements were made and the basics completed, there was little distinction in the final execution. Décor and food stalls looked ordinary, timelines were loosely followed, and the overall feel of the celebration lacked the premium quality expected at such expense. Rather than experiencing service-driven partnership, the engagement resembled dealing with a supplier whose primary focus appeared to be maximizing revenue. This created a sharp imbalance between cost and value. Guests described the arrangements as 'fine' or 'decent,' but never exceptional. The absence of innovation, combined with inflated charges, left an impression that profit margins outweighed genuine client care. When a family commits to paying premium rates, the expectation is not only flawless execution but also thoughtful service and originality — aspects that were noticeably lacking. With hindsight, the same investment could easily have secured the services of planners from metro cities such as Delhi or Mumbai, where competitive standards often deliver far greater creativity, professionalism, and transparency for similar budgets. This experience serves as a reminder that wedding planners should be chosen not just for promises, but for their balance of value, service, and integrity. In this case, that balance was missing, leaving the impression of money being prioritized over service.

I had the unfortunate experience of Dew planning my wedding. They are so unprofessional and caused me and my family so much stress. All they care about is making money from decor. Their team did nothing during our events and i had my own family members work harder than them. Avoid avoid. Do not trust them for your wedding.
