I then started searching on Instagram and google and I found out 3-4 photographers whose work were very good but among all, their work was damn amazing when I found out their Instagram page. I then contacted the team and we finalised SL Art. My wife & I had a discussion regarding the team and she had complete trust on me because I myself am a photographer and I can see mistakes instantly what photographers make while shooting and how good any photographer is so I with 100% confidence said let's finalise candid house for our wedding.

This is a review which I am posting after 2 months of my wedding where I have got all the pictures and videos from the team. I was actually late for booking photographers for my wedding and when I started looking for photographers, all were booked for my dates.

The team provides complete commitment as they take one order for a day so that they can completely commit to your function for the entire day. Hiring the team at the Candid House was the worst decision I made for my destination wedding in Jaipur. Despite doing my due diligence (checking reviews online and speaking to the managers, Shiva and then later Akash) the reality was very different to the promises made prior to booking. Just as a high level summary - 1. The team allocated to us was highly unprofessional. Someone called Hritik was the lead photographer, who was late to every function and did not understand the type of photos (ironically, candid) that we wanted. There were no proper shots of my bridal get ready, because the team got there after I was done getting ready. 2. There were negligible shots taken of our close friends and family (and I don’t mean distant relatives, literally my sister and mother have very few photos from the wedding) 3. The stereotypical shots/ideas the team had were so outdated and not at all what you envision from an ‘award winning’ team 4. So many beautiful moments from our wedding were not captured - there are just gaps in the footage. It was so clear the team was unmotivated and did not want to do a good job. 5. The editor for our video was uncooperative and unhelpful - when we requested to include specific shots in our wedding video, he said they didn’t exist but we found them later when we demanded the raw footage. 6. Lastly, there were so many delays in getting our wedding photos and videos, it was absolutely ridiculous. Overall, candid house is an affordable option for a wedding photography team but honestly would be better to give the camera to your friend to capture the moments - at least they would care and put some effort in. I would highly recommend staying away from this vendor.

I would give a mixed review. They were good during the wedding, clicked each and every moment. But there is delay in the delivery. it is been 3 months since we are waiting for the videos and trailers.

Pretty elaborated review here. Shiva will be the most sweetest person until he gets the business and later will be the most arrogant human being with zero professionalism and zero customer empathy. We booked Candid House for our wedding on May 14 in Jaipur. Paid 50% advance which was about 70K. 4 days before the wedding functions, the govt banned weddings in Rajasthan because of the 2nd wave of the pandemic. Govt also circulated that the vendors will have to refund the advance amount. We then planned to do wedding in a different state with only immediate family members. Asked Shiva if he can travel if required, he agreed but later we realized that the norms are so strict that even the grooms family was facing challenges with the travel from rajasthan to UP due to covid negative test reports and ban on internal vehicle movement. So we weren’t not sure if the wedding will really happen. We instead requested Shiva for a refund as per govt regulations. He didn’t respond for multiple days(he will stop looking at whatsapp messages, will stop picking up calls, and whenever he does pick, he gives a follow up date). We had anyway went ahead with the wedding in UP with the local vendors whom we literally booked on the day of the wedding after figuring out groom’s travel. Shiva refused to refund stating that we cancelled the services even though his team was ready to travel in pandemic. He straight away asked us to go legal, which was uncalled for. When we weren’t sure about the groom’s travel and state restrictions, it didn’t make sense for us to get his team’s flight tickets done and commit on the services and take responsibility of the team’s negative rt pcr tests. If it was that easy, we could have figured out the wedding easily and made all vendors travel tbh. He later asked us to take a credit note instead which will be transferrable and lifetime valid. We took time to think on it because photography isn’t an essential service. My husband called him after a few days that we are okay to take a credit note and he can share an email confirmation over it. To which he refused stating it’s cancellation of the services hence he will speak to his team and get back. And since then he isn’t responding. Literally ghosted us. His skills maybe good but zero on customer empathy and professionalism. That too when the entire humankind is going through a pandemic crisis

Shiva was great at taking pics without people being bothered.. It can be a real pain when wedding photographers make you conscious with all the poses and adjustments.. No problem with Candid Photographers at all! Also the flow and essence of the wedding was beautifully captured..

I saw the work of The Candid House in my brother's wedding and we are so dissatisfied with what was delivered .. We has one team each for bride and groom side thinking it ll be easier to coordinate. But unfortunately the team couldn't recognise the closed ones from the crowd. I liked the wedding highlights video but nothing more than that. It was a bad photography team and I personally do not recommend them to anyone.

We were searching someone for oue wedding, and we found his contact number on Google ads and he sent us some sample videos and pictures, and we liked his work so we booked him for that function. And when we saw pictures of our function then we were really happy that we made the right choice, all pictures were amazing and you can clearly distinguish the difference between amateur photographer work and his professional quality of work.
