Worst experience ever. The venue is great, from location to interiors it's nothing less than majestic. But there is a catch! This venue should only be qualified as a veg venue, very biased towards non-vegetarians My dad had pencil booked the venue for my wedding on 8 Dec.The very next day I visited again to reconfirm, and I was very happy with the venue overall. We wanted to go ahead and submit the cheque, when the managers quickly informed us that our dates are clashing with marwadi wedding dates, taking a non-veg booking amid all veg bookings would be clash of interests. To elaborate further, they run their own veg catering and taking a veg booking would be much more profitable than mine;although we did propose they take care of the catering of our 200 vegetarian guests.h We were told after much discussion that the dates weren't available for the 8th as they had already taken a veg wedding booking. What a lie! For every non-vegetarian family considering Ganapati Banquets, Ballygunge kindly beware of the internal politics.
