Absolutely Atrocious Experience at KAI Retreats – A Complete Disaster I had the most pathetic and traumatic experience at KAI Retreats, and I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. This was my sister’s wedding, a once-in-a-lifetime event, and KAI managed to turn it into a nightmare through sheer incompetence and mismanagement. Let me start with the payments. They demand 100 percent payment upfront, and on top of that, we were chased relentlessly for a mere ₹10,000 additional charge before even arriving at the resort. Once the money is paid, forget accountability, because the service completely collapses. Not a single event happened on time. Not one. The hot water did not work for two entire days. Guests had to literally beg for buckets of water like this was some roadside lodge, not a premium retreat. It was humiliating and unacceptable, especially during a wedding. The CEO, Pradeep, sold us grand dreams of lavish food presentation, quality, and a seamless experience. What we got instead was a complete mess at the food counters. Half the promised food items were missing, quantities were miserably inadequate, and presentation was a joke. Guests were confused, annoyed, and embarrassed on our behalf. On the actual wedding day, Pradeep conveniently stopped taking calls altogether. If you ask the service staff for help, they will literally run away. Every food event had to be started only after begging, arguing, and threatening. Their standard response to any request is “10 minutes sir,” which actually means 30 to 45 minutes, if it happens at all. To top it all off, during the wedding pheras at 12 PM, I received a call from Vikas asking us to vacate the venue by 3 PM. Who does that in the middle of a wedding? We had clearly agreed on a 4 PM checkout, and yet this was the unprofessional and insensitive behaviour we faced. Nagendra was equally unhelpful and offered no resolution or support. This place lacks basic planning, professionalism, hospitality, and empathy. Once they have your money, they simply do not care. If you value your family events, dignity, and peace of mind, stay far away from KAI Retreats. I genuinely hope no one else goes through what we did. I can talk extensively about this disaster. We had the entire property to ourselves for 2 days, which made every function feel personal and relaxed. The villas are spacious and beautifully designed, perfect for accommodating family and close friends. What really stood out was the team, so professional, warm, and passionate. They handled everything seamlessly, from customized menus to setting up each event space, and made us feel completely at ease.
