As much as we fell in love with this charming location, the management left much to be desired. We had booked our February wedding over 6 months in advance and the hotel was renovating much of the property. We were promised it would be fully functional for the wedding. As much as it was ready, I could tell there were a lot of final touches that were rushed to get done and therefore sub-par. Also, the management of room service, car service, luggage, maintenance, etc. was not perfect. There was definitely a lack in professionalism there. They also promised us hot tubs in each of the master suites at the Fort, but when we arrived they were filled with water but cold. When we asked if they could be turned on the staff said “oh well they take time to heat up you should have arranged that in advance” Ummmmmm???? What?? What are we there for! I felt as they were making excuses and actually lying because the hot tubs weren’t actually functional. The saving grace was that our wedding planner (separate from the hotel completely) made all the events and decor come together in the end and the guests enjoyed the wedding. And I’ll give it to Mundota that the property and rooms and gorgeous. But management, wow, they need to get it together.

Dear Ms. Rachel, Thank you for your kind review of Mundota and appreciation of the charming location. While we understand your frustration with the private jacuzzi’s in the suites, kindly allow us to clarify a couple of things: The ‘hot tubs’ you are referring to are actually 12,000 litre jetted pools that come in 3 of our Hilltop War Fort Suites and not pre-made small ‘hot tubs’ that you would find at homes/other hotels. As you can imagine, they are 12,000 litre pools and cannot be instantly heated at the touch of a button, they take 2-3 hours to heat up fully and we request guests to inform us prior to using the jacuzzi’s so we can start the heat pumps. Moreover - the same was communicated to the part of your family who were involved in the wedding planning for you. With regards to room service - as per our wedding contract there was going to be no room service in rooms (same was requested and agreed for by the family) still at the request of the groom’s family we did service the hilltop war fort suites - which are not located in the main hotel premises and all orders need to be coordinated from the hotel hotel kitchen - hence the delay in getting your orders. If we would have been told of the requirement of room service at the fort, we would have prepared accordingly. ‘Car Service’ - from the very beginning we had given you the flexibility of either booking the car service through us or directly and the family opted to book it directly. During the wedding, the cars allocated to the guests in the fort were no where to be found and at the request of the groom’s family we extended our hotel car for a couple drops until their cars came but unfortunately no cars came from where you had organised and as a courtesy to your guests we continued sending our hotel car for the 3 days of the wedding at our compliments. The above is just to put our point in prospective as you were not involved entirely in the wedding planning and contract discussions with the groom’s family. Moreover, we are still waiting for pending payments to be cleared. Additionally, courtesy and flexibility in all terms were extended by us to the grooms family who we were coordinating with throughout the wedding planning and the main wedding. Thank you, Vikas Sain Reservations
