PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING THIS PLACE – ESPECIALLY FOR WEDDINGS! I had the most disappointing and horrible experience at Swambyor, located at 463, Madurdaha, Hussainpur, Kolkata, West Bengal 700107. My wedding took place here on December 10th, 2024, and I regret every bit of it. First and foremost, the woman named Manisha, who sits at the reception, is extremely ill-mannered, unprofessional, and lacks basic courtesy—especially towards elders. The way she spoke to my family members was unacceptable and downright rude. They took the full booking amount in advance, and once that was done, they started charging us for every little thing, none of which were mentioned initially at the time of booking. It felt like they were trying to squeeze out money from us for things that should have been included. For decoration, they shamelessly used cheap, used artificial flowers that looked terrible. When we requested to change them, Manisha's behavior was even more insulting. She refused to cooperate and spoke rudely again. On the actual wedding day, no one from their team was present to help us. They didn't even do the Haldi decoration—my family had to step in and do it themselves. There was no proper water supply in the washrooms, and no cleaning staff either. By the end of the night, the water was completely gone, and none of my guests or family members could use the washroom. Disgraceful. If you're planning your special day here, DON’T. You’ll end up stressed, embarrassed, and helpless. 💔 Swambyor ruined what should’ve been the happiest day of my life. BEWARE. DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE.
