Aswanaa 7 reviews just now NEW Being a Stanlean I wanted to book a nearby venue & specifically a lawn with indoor setting n booked for Sep 3. He initially said that food costs around 650/ per plate for veg and 750/ something onwards for non veg and no cost for the lights and venue (unlike most banquet halls who charge minimum for the location but as per his words "no charges" when me, my mom & husband visted in person). Next day we call to speak about the menu and the balance to be paid (we gave 30k as advance). Now he speaks about packages according to the crowd- for 200 people around 1,68,000 which roughly amounts to about 900/ plate and we haven't even decided the menu (it was for a basic package) and for 300 ppl it was much higher. We tried to understand the situation as he said no cost for venue but now he says the venue cost, lights and labour charges are included in the package.(Don’t understand the logic why i have to pay increasing amounts for the venue if my crowd number increases?? Why can't i just pay for the plates accordingly and a fixed amount for the venue). He has the audacity to speak rudely to my mom and asks us to cancel saying he will refund the advance. (We weren't going to cancel until he uttered this....n we didn’t want to proceed with a person who lacks transparency and basic ethics running a business). Now we contact him for the refund he shows a document we have signed and none can get refund from him (quoting example of a person who passed away before his event booked here and his family members asked for a refund - an unhealthy conversation which no person conducting an auspicious event ever wants to hear). My mom was emotionally wounded and we proceed with a different venue. My mom contacts him he doesn't pickup & texts in what's app to send an email stating the reason for cancellation (which is his tongue 😑 & he asked to cancel). We have our lawyer friend & used his name trying to get our money back for which he states he had seen many cases like this and we can't do anything becoz of the document.(We cancelled in less than 24 hours ). I've never met someone this worse who wants free money without any service. In short- He isn't transparent about the charges, doesn't speak courteously to customers and tries to loot your hard earned money. Pro : only the lawn n hall Cons: Everything else, People can't reach in peak traffic (which he itself says) and won't dare to come from far if it rains. The dressing rooms pathetic full glass covered by screen and no lock. He claims his food to be too good (we came here bcoz of the reviews too) but menu not worth the price per plate (900 rs). If u want ur event to be auspicious don't book this place. This is the worst review I've given so far, cheated my hard earned money and spoke rudely to my parents.

after paying 30,000 rupees as advance, changes all criteria charging more for menu and venue which was not conveyed during the visit to the site. asked us to cancel the reservation, but no proper response on returning our advance payed.

Pls remove our VRM listing from wedmegood, we have not authorised any listing on your wedmegood website here. You listing on your web portal is giving wrong information about prices. Thank you Team vrm gardens
