Just like the 3 star hotel, the service was also 3rd class. We had booked the venue for my wedding one year prior to our wedding to make sure there were no mistakes made during the main day. During booking we had face to face conversations with Gail (sales manager) and Brandon (then operations manager) who promised us a lot of things. But due to unfortunate reasons Brandon was replaced by Samrat and he made our life a living hell. Whatever was promised to us was denied just 2 weeks before the wedding. Gail who was involved in the conversations right from the beginning was not responding to our calls and messages. I don't know if Samrat wanted to prove his worth to his new employer or if he enjoyed watching us beg for things but I have never met a manager as cunning and inhospitable like him. During the wedding, starters were to be served unlimited for 2 hours but they were only serving guests with plates on the table, whichever guests didn't have plates on the table, they denied serving the starters. When asked to provide the guests with plates, Ajith, the assistant manager had the audacity to yell at my mom and sister and told them it wouldn't be possible. This was 20 mins through the 2hrs period. Plus they were only serving veg starters, there were 4 servers, all 4 serving only paneer. All our guests complained to my sister that they're not serving non-veg starters. When this was communicated to Samrat, he just nodded. He didn't even have the decency to respond. We requested Samrat to open the buffet 1/2 an hour prior and he showed his operations paper saying that buffet counter will open only at the time given during discussion. We have been to so many weddings and have also organised our own siblings weddings, but no organizer has ever behaved like this. My husband had his Roce ceremony the previous day which was supposed to be a pool party. But they didn't allow anyone to get into the pool and all the guests were dressed for the pool party, ruining everyone's moods. The Lawn's name is Butterfly Pool Lawn, should've just been Butterfly Lawn. They sure know how to rip you off cunningly. 1 week prior to our wedding, they ripped us off for everything. For every little thing, we were asked to pay extra or outsource. I know nothing about Samrat or his team personally, but through my experience with them for the past 2 months I can tell that Longuinhos is set to fail if such people are working there. I made the worst mistake of my life by booking my wedding venue at Longuinhos. They had no respect for our time or money. The only reason why we still look happy in our pictures is because our family kept all these things from me and my husband until the reception was over. So please think twice before booking here. Get everything written and acknowledged from them right from the beginning.
