A Delhi wedding with vivid bursts of color

Some weddings literally make us spend a useful part of our "work" time, swooning at everything. This wedding shot by the amazing Creative lens team is one of those. Everything from the kitsch floral printed mehendi, to the bride's absolutely stunning bridal lehenga which has been mixed and matched from everywhere - between the first and last photo of this post lies our happy place :)

The floral print Mehendi

How nice is that decor with the floral table runners and flower string backdrop?? Also love the bride's outfit!

The wedding

Both the groom and bride's outfit= perfection!

From the bride: My mehendi was at my buas house on Akbar Road - open lawns , swings, lots and lots of greenery over-looking a beautiful haveli and a surprisingly sunny winter day! I wanted it to be vibrant and floral so I gave all my friends and family floral dupattas to match their outfits with ; I had floral cushions and table runners ( the floral arrangement was a little disappointing for me ) but over all we pulled off a great feel. We had multicolored bunting , origami birds , the usual frames and a wish tree, also wanted a fun element so added chai holders for centerpiece 's and chai kettles . Overall the mehendi was a cross between kitsch and floral

I insisted on a day wedding, which a lot of people were against. It was winter and I prayed for it to be a sunny day and well, my prayers were answered !! It was a beautiful, warm winter afternoon and after the wedding was over everyone was happy with the decision ! My music started with retro - all old rock and roll at first then rolling into wedding songs ; we didn't have a traditional stage but we walked and mixed around with the crowd (can't bear to stand on stage and smile for hours). So it was relaxed and fun even for the both of us, I wanted to make sure nothing was hectic and boring!

Another thing that I want to mention is that the  most important thing is the food , it shouldn't be 1000 dishes which is such a waste. It should be selected tastefully and served with the best wine which I think is VERY important!
