Palak and Pankaj had a fun, full on Punjabi wedding in Udaipur and it sure looked like a party we'd have love to be a part of! There was music, dance, great food and above it all, kickass decor and themes. Palak and Pankaj's personal involvement in each part of the wedding planning ensured that their wedding was a memorable event for not just them, but everyone attending! Palak wore some really offbeat outfits, with a multicoloured mehendi lehenga, a beautiful Sangeet lehenga and a gorgeous bridal lehenga! She nailed the chic bridal look effortlessly! Adding to the whole glam quotient was some amazing photography by House On The Clouds★ 5

The Wedding

From The Bride:

Pankaj and I planned the whole wedding to it’s minutest details. We were involved in every process, vendor selection etc. It sure was a lot to handle but staying on top of things made us realise the importance of personal involvement and in turn making it a unique experience for all.

One night before the functions began, we hosted our closest friends and family for a dinner at Fatehgarh Fort, Udaipur. It was a very intimate dinner with a stunning night view of the city!

For the mehendi, we had a fun flamingo beach theme with pink, purple and green colours adding the beach vibe, complimented with jute accents! We also had some great cocktails and chaat. We also had Punjabi live singers to get the mood going and choori maker making chooris live to have our guests experience the magic of Rajasthani artisans .

For Sangeet, the theme was all glam with colours of burgundy, black and silver ruling the scene. Narural lights with candles, silver candles for added glitter glam, and a gogeous all mirror bar with signature cocktails had the evening going strong! We had performances and a mind blowing live music thanks to the DJ and percussionist! Pankaj and I were the last ones to leave!

The decor on our wedding was extremely traditional. We went for deep reds, gold, and all fresh flower decorations. Our mandap was was full of red roses, chameli and gold bells and candles. During Pankaj’s baraat , while all the grooms family and friends were busy dancing, we had kurle wali chai served to all the guests waiting at the amphitheater! It was our most appreciated food item as it was perfect in that chilly weather! We also had channa jor Varansi and popcorn served to the guest then for munchies! Much much appreciate! We had 300 small bells placed at everyone’s seat . During my entry, everyone at the venue was ringing this bell with a beautiful background music, couldn’t have asked for a more stunning setup. Pankaj and I danced our way while exchanging var malas. For our guests we had bolly jazz , the band playing retro Bollywood songs with a jazz twist to set the mood for a light melodic night!

Vendor Reviews:

Ananta was perfect for us and our 300 guests. We had all the guests staying at one property , thus saving on booking another property and transportation hassle! The hotel has numerous venues to host different functions. The main reason also to chose this hotel was its breath taking backdrop of mountains from the amphitheater where we had our pheras.
