We can't lie, we love a seaside wedding with sunset pheras! And what better destination to have it than Goa? That is precisely the reason why our couple chose The Holiday Inn, Goa for their wedding celebrations. It started with a colourful mehendi where the bride opted for a multi-coloured lehenga (loving it!) and ended with a gorgeous dusk wedding. Sanaa looked absolutely ethereal in her Sabyasachi Mukherjee★ 4.9 bridal lehenga and her husband was the perfect coordinated groom! And photography by WeddingNama★ 5 made sure that each moment was captured in the most beautiful manner possible!

Meet Sanaa & Sidhant

Sanaa tells us how they met in one of the most unusual places possible, "Of all the places in the world, my husband and I met at the gym! We first struck up a conversation while walking on the treadmills and from there a very special relationship began. We exchanged numbers to compete with each other on the FitBit (or at least that was the excuse) and the rest, as they say, is history!"

The Wedding

From The Bride:

We wanted our wedding to feel very intimate and personal. Everyone had made such an effort to take the time to be there, and we wanted to make sure that every guest felt a part of our story. In our own way, we included details and anecdotes to allow the wedding and all our functions seem more personal. From signages across the venues, to notes as table centre pieces, a lot of thought went into making the wedding a more intimate experience. Both Sidhanth and I are complete emotional fools, happy in our own little fairytale. Essentially, all we wanted for our wedding weekend was to convey just this - for everyone to feel as emotionally vested, for them to understand our feelings and what each function meant to us and to then celebrate with us with unmatched joy and enthusiasm! In fact our last function - the wedding after party - was a pyjama party! When we say that we only wanted everyone to let their hair down and celebrate with us, we really meant that. So we encouraged everyone to leave all the heavy Indian finery behind, put on their comfiest pjs and just come downstairs to party with us! My favourite moment from the wedding was when Sidhanth went down on one knee and proposed to me at the Sangeet while Jubin Nautiyal serenaded us with our favourite song. It was every bit the fairytale moment I had always imagined. We were also surprised by a flash mob performed by friends of my parents - all in matching t-shirts that said 'Sanaa's Squad' - that was also incredibly special!

Holiday Inn, Goa - We always wanted a sunset wedding on the beach and this property, with its own beach, was a perfect choice. We saw a number of properties before we settled on this one, but as soon as we walked in for the first time we just knew this was where we were meant to be married. The whole team worked tirelessly to accommodate all our requests and we cannot be more grateful for their support and cooperation.

Urmi Kaur - My only brief to her was that I wanted the make up to look natural and she made sure I looked my prettiest. I didn't want anything very dramatic or elaborate. I wanted to look as natural as I possibly could and Urmi made sure of that.

Wedding Nama - They were an absolute dream to work with. They took the time to get to know us on a personal level, to allow us to warm up to them and to ensure that they photographed every single element we would want to cherish for decades to come. There were so many moments we would have missed if it wasn't for their sheer magic! For instance, I would have never known that Sidhanth teared up when he saw me walking down the aisle for the first time! From the very beginning, just by talking to Ankita and Akash and seeing their work, we knew that we couldn't have picked a better team to capture these moments of pure, unrehearsed emotion.

The Doli Diary - They planned our wedding for us as well. Neha & Jinal, along with their fabulous team, made this entire process so seamless and stress-free. Every tiny detail, all that we had imagined our wedding to encapsulate - their team took care of everything. They were literally the backbone of our entire wedding. Along with both our families, they put together the wedding of our dreams and made sure that we had the best time while celebrating our wedding weekend.

Sabyasachi I always dreamed of being a Sabyasachi bride, with all his regal fanfare and unmatched brilliance. It took me all of 5 minutes to select my wedding lehenga. It was the first lehenga I tried on, and as soon as I stepped out of the changing room, I knew this was the one. The second my mother saw me, she had tears in her eyes and just that expression was enough to reassure me that it had to be this one.

The Papier Project - this is a stationery brand that I own myself, so working on my own invitations felt like coming full circle. Finally I was able to put together all the various elements that had remained on an idea board for so long to create a theme that perfectly depicted what both Sidhanth and I had envisioned for our wedding stationery.
