An Udaipur Wedding Which Had A Nikaah, Hindu Pheras & A White-Wedding-Themed Cocktail!

What happens when two cultures, two sets of traditions and one very modern love story come together? Charvi and Imran's intimate Udaipur wedding was a beautiful celebration of exactly that. Set against the regal backdrop of The Leela Palace, Udaipur, the two-day celebration brought together a traditional Hindu wedding, a soulful Nikaah and a playful, white-wedding-inspired cocktail- each ceremony given its own distinct, contemporary personality. The celebrations were intentionally designed to let both families experience each other's cultures while keeping the overall wedding modern and cohesive. And then there were the wonderfully personal touches: the couple designed and made their own white wedding outfits, while Imran even created an animated film telling their love story for their guests. From a friendship that began years before they started dating to a wedding that celebrated everything that makes them different- and everything that brings them together, this one is seriously special!

About The Wedding
Our wedding took place on March 22nd and 23rd, 2026. It was a Hindu-Muslim wedding. We wanted to go very traditional with our wedding outfits and ceremonies because we wanted our families to experience the other culture as well. However, we kept the decor extremely different for each ceremony but pretty modern, so that it kept the essence of a new-age interfaith wedding, binding everything together. Since it was an interfaith wedding, we wanted to make it as secular as possible, so we did a Hindu wedding ceremony and a Nikaah, but we also did a cocktail which was white-wedding-themed, where Imran and I were both dressed in white wedding outfits that we designed and made ourselves. Also, my husband actually made a whole animated film of our story for our guests to watch at our cocktail.
Vendor Reviews
Venue: Leela Palace, Udaipur
We got married at the Leela Palace, Udaipur, as Udaipur is my birth city. My husband felt it was the best place to start a new chapter of my life from there as well. We picked Leela because we had a wedding with only our close friends and family, so we wanted everyone to stay together at the same venue and cross paths every time they stepped out of their rooms, to feel like we were all living in a palace together. The place had everything—lake view, mountain view, City Palace view, sunrise, sunset, great hospitality, amazing food, and a special note for that particular beautiful Leela fragrance that’s there throughout the whole premises.
Makeup Artist: Shivani Jaiswal
For me, Shivani Jaiswal and I have literally become friends now. We both understood each other so well; she got exactly what I wanted. It was such a smooth ride with her. For Imran, it was @makeuphairbyrahul, who is a celebrity MUA and a friend. He is the sweetest guy one can ever meet, very hardworking, and becomes like family.

Folio Haus were our photographers. Loved them—very efficient. The pictures they gave us were so dreamy, but also very real, very Imran and I at the same time.
