This Cannes Wedding Is Basically The Most Gorgeous Moodboard Come to Life!

Sarina and Lavine didn’t just get married, they served four days of pure aesthetic goals in Cannes. Think Riviera vibes, cloud-like mandaps, designer details, and performances by Sonu Nigam and Jason Derulo! Their story spans Dubai to Hong Kong, but their wedding brought it all together in the most intentional, emotional, and drop-dead gorgeous way. If “destination wedding of the year” was a thing… this would be it.

Meet Sarina and Lavine

Sarina was raised in Dubai, Lavine in Hong Kong. Introduced through mutual friends, the couple reconnected in Dubai at the end of 2023, and within weeks, Lavine knew she was the one. What followed was a journey shaped by intention, emotion, and shared values, culminating in a destination wedding that felt both personal and thoughtfully designed.

Welcome Dinner

It began with a Welcome Dinner at Carlton Beach Club, a Riviera-inspired soirée bathed in candlelight, soft gold accents, and breezy whites. The design evoked understated glamour, with intimate touches like personalised notes, ambient lighting, and elegant lounge pockets that brought warmth to the coastal chic setting.

Mehendi & Haldi

Day 2 opened with a Mehndi Lunch at Vilebrequin La Plage, where the décor channelled a bohemian spirit through sunshine yellow, ivory, and natural neutrals. Elements like rattan textures, flowing linen drapes, pampas grass, and cascading marigolds framed the Mediterranean view. Handcrafted lounging spaces, a curated henna corner, and earthy floral arrangements created an experience that was vibrant yet grounded.

Sangeet

That evening, the Sangeet at Palm Beach took on a more energetic tone. The venue was transformed with mirrored arches, reflective installations, and ambient lighting that played with depth and shimmer. It was a theatrical space designed for spectacle, where family performances led into high-energy sets by Sukhbir and Guru Randhawa, all under the glow of a stage framed by glimmering mirrorwork and moody elegance.

Wedding

     The finale, a.k.a the wedding, held on 1st June at Château Les Croix, was a white-on-white wedding that reimagined Indian rituals through a minimalist lens. Every design decision was rooted in restraint, no other colour entered the palette. The mandap appeared to float like a cloud, surrounded by billowing drapes and architectural silhouettes. Oversized couture bows added a playful yet refined touch, and floral installations were kept tonal and textural. As twilight set in, guests were treated to a moving performance by Sonu Nigam, followed by an electrifying closing set by Jason Derulo, bringing the celebration to a cinematic close.

About The Wedding

Sarina and Lavine had a multi-day celebration in Cannes that brought together Sindhi traditions and the elegance of the French Riviera. The wedding was a reflection of their shared Indian heritage and global upbringing. Spanning iconic venues across Cannes, the wedding unfolded from 29th May to 1st June 2025, each event distinct in style, mood, and design.

What truly stood out was the process behind the beauty, balancing global logistics with cultural sensitivity, and creating designs that felt as grounded as they were elevated. Each function was rooted in a custom moodboard, with décor that told a cohesive story across four days. This wasn’t just about planning a wedding, it was about designing an experience.
