We love when a bride gives us some major inspiration! And Sneha, who chose to wear a customised kanjeevaram did exactly that! A customised lehenga maybe common, but a customised kanjeevaram is definitely a rarity. Sneha woee a red kanjeevaram sari with peacock work from "Kancheepuramvaramahalakshmi", Bangalore which was customized and paired with a two toned silk skirt with lotus embriodery and a floral zardosi embroidered mango yellow blouse. Her second saree was an onion pink kanjeevaram saree selected specially by her father in law from Seemati Wedding Collection. She was also involved in writing her own invitation cards. They had just invited close family and friends and the invitation card reflected that. Casino Hotel in Trichur, Kerala was the perfect place for their celebrations while photography by Weva Photography was the perfect cherry on top.
Meet Sneha & Rageet
Sneha talks about their sweet love story, "Me and Rageeth originally met through a matrimonial site but since our kundalis din't match the proposal was put off. However we continued being friends, we are both bloggers by passion and it was "love at first read" for me; We had a lot in common and over a span of 1 year of dating we decided to give it a go and convinced our families for the same. My husband believes that if the love is pure enough, the stars will always realign. And so on May 27 we tied the knot amidst the people we love."

The Reception
From The Bride:
I have been labelled a carefree bride by my brother who was also my handy event manager. Most brides have their wedding and attire planned way before they intend to get married. I however, was only certain of one thing- there had to be lot of dancing, lots of fun moments to look back on and to only invite people whom we have shared a deep bond with. All of which is rarely achievable in a Kerala South Indian wedding. But being the only daughter of the family, I got my way out. Lucky for me my husband felt the same way too. Hence, we had a North Indian style pre-wedding celebrations ( haldi , mehendi and Sangeeth) with family and close friends. A fairly traditional South Indian style wedding where I went against the hectic norms of marrying twice- once in temple and then in a wedding hall; and changing through multiple saris. I instead chose to wear a “red lehenga” sari and spend more time with my guests than hustle around. I also got to twin with my favourite ladies (my mum and aunts), who were also in shades of Red and yellow like me. This was emotionally apt as they are my bridesmaids for life. Our reception was done in a Christian style where we told our vows, had our first couple dance as Mrs and Mr , our friends and family raised a toast to us followed by games and lots of dancing through the evening. All in all we had a wedding with the the best of three worlds! What sets a wedding apart isn’t the glitzy events but the beautiful moments and in that sense, we have been truly blessed to have a family who made it so special for us.
Weva photography is amazing, they have also been very professional in handling our events. Manyavar has some amazing collections for Groom wear Mr Abilash is a thorough professional and quiet talented. He has done a great work especially at hiding my hangover (jk). Casino hotel staff have been very kind and helpul through the whole process. Their venue is apt for any kind of wedding fuction. Deepika govind has skilled designers who understand your needs and deliver accordingly. My lehenga saree has been a huge hit among people and I m sure this style and concept will soon trend in the south. Jammys bridal is a talented and sincere artist based in Calicut. She did my mehendi while she was fasting and sat through it all. I highly recommend her.
