We see a ton of weddings every day and we will admit - there seems to be a slight lack of originality when it comes to bridal lehengas. That's why this bride surprised us with her ivory and gold lehenga. From creating her own designs to making sure her BFFs and guests get to experience all the fun, Komal made sure her wedding was one-of-a-kind. Photography by ColorBlast was amazing while the venue,The Corinthians Resort & Club offered the wedding a grand space to pull it all off.
Meet Ronak & Komal
"Ronak and I met through a common friend at a party. He asked for my BBM pin then which led to us talking for hours. I moved away to Ahmedabad to study Fashion Design but we still dated across cities. After four years of dating we got engaged with the consent of our parents" explains Komal.
The Mehendi
The Wedding
From The Bride:"Everything at my wedding was handled by my aunt and my mother - from the gifts to the decor to ordering really cute giveaways all the way from China for my friends. I wanted a very intimate wedding so we decided to have it at Corinthians Pune which was a fabulous venue for us. It had the perfect number of rooms for the 200 people visiting and was a great place to dance the night away.
All my outfits were very stress-free, very lightweight with less embroidery. I design light lehengas by profession hence my Mehendi outfit was done by me - a crop top and sheer long skirt. My main outfit was from Samant Chauhan in Delhi. As a Gujarati bride we are supposed to wear a white panetar saree but I chose to wear a lehenga instead. It was the first outfit I had tried and picked it up in all of two days. It was extremely different and perfect for me. And the good bit, I did my entire trousseau shopping from Delhi after going through the entire list of designers on WMG," adds Komal.
