6 Wedding Things We Learnt From Ae Dil Hae Mushkil

BY The WMG Bride | 29 Oct, 2016 | 8012 views | 2 min read

Did you see it yet ? Did ya Did ya? Don't worry, we aren't giving away the movie but we couldn't wait to share all these cool wedding ideas we spotted in the movie today.

  • Have a "Silent Disco" for your Sangeet?

You distribute headphones to everyone and they can choose which songs they want to listen to ! Go crazy partyng in the wee hours of the night without cops and neighbours creating issues of music after a specified deadline. See the Silent disco in action in this song with Anushka and Ranbir.

  • Wear a shirt with a lehenga skirt and add chunky jewels

Anushka looks super chic at her Mehendi, wearing a crisp white shirt tucked into her lehenga and with large polki necklace on top of the shirt. New way to re-use your wedding lehenga? Yes please.

  • A New way to drape your double dupatta: Like a shawl

Anushka's bridal look is totally elevated by her carrying her second dupatta loosely like a stole. It comes around the back like a regular saree style dupatta, but is longer and instead of tight pleats, its left very loose on the side and draped across her arm. Totally complements the regal look

  • Have a "Holi" Party At your mehendi

Anushka's mehendi event, looks insanely fun , complete with a pool brimming with rose petals and the entire guest list playing holi with gulaal and petals.

  • Enter your baraat with cold pyros

We won't mention who the groom was, but in the movie he enters his baraat on a vintage car , with cold pyros going off on the side. After all, why should brides have all the fun?

  • Wear A Sherwani Open, On Top Of a Kurta

Ranbir does this throughout the movie. Wearing an embroidered red sherwani open on top of a plain red kurta and white dhoti pants as well as a black sherwani open on top of a red kurta. So fabulous and so chic.
