A Wedding App & NFTs: This Wedding Had Some Really Unique Ideas!

BY Apoorva | 12 Jul, 2023 | 1721 views | 4 min read

The #BrideOnWheels wedding has taken Instagram by storm! But it was not just this performance that rocked Amareen and Sahil’s wedding. They had a ton of fun and cute ideas throughout their wedding that we absolutely adored. From their brilliantly themed events (they even had a MET Gala night; can you believe it?) to personalized wedding apps – they truly pulled out all the stops. Here are some of the coolest ideas that we fell in love with from this extraordinary wedding!

A Fun Personalised Wedding App!

With Sahil’s tech background, as a run-up to the wedding, he built a one-of-a-kind wedding invite – a personalised wedding app! With a countdown timer to the wedding date upon opening the app, on this app, friends and family could share fun stories about the couple for everyone to read, pre-check into the hotel directly by sharing their id proof along with their flight arrival and departure details, browse through the various functions with the venue, timings and dress code for each event under the ‘Events’ tab, and most excitingly, see all the wedding photos in real-time on the app for every function! The app was available on Android and iOS for download by invite only and exclusive to the wedding guests.

Personalised Wedding NFTs!

Apart from personalised physical wedding favours, the couple shared personalised NFTs (non-fungible tokens) as unique digital collectables as their wedding memorabilia!

Custom Made Newspaper – AGB Times!

Another bookmark-worthy idea was the couple’s own personalised wedding newspaper – #AGB Times! With one for each day, these special edition newspapers were delivered to each room before sunrise and laid out on newspaper stands at the breakfast venue with highlights and stories of the previous day functions and the photos of their guests in it!

Bridal Mehendi With A HTML Code!

Amareen’s bridal mehendi had a unique story of its own. From a long-distance tale spanning across cities to her to-be husband’s professional background in technology, the mehendi had their love inscribed as HTML code. Mumbai’s famous Sea Link skyline to Bangalore’s signature palace, an airplane connecting the dots between them, the wedding hashtag #AmuGotBhagged to the wedding date, and of course, the groom’s name was all designed into the bridal mehendi.

#BrideOnWheels

A one-of-a-kind sangeet performance that stunned everyone with a surprise act of the bride dancing on roller skates! With the skates concealed under her lehenga, she did a “big reveal” moment by lifting her lehenga mid-way and breaking out into a spin, twirling away. All this and more, whilst adorning a 15 kg Seema Gujral sequin lehenga, only and only to see the surprise reaction on her fiancé Sahil's face!

Best Friends Joint Baraat

“Since I’m Sahil’s best friend, his baraat is incomplete without me. So, I’m going to join his baraat and we’re going to have a joint baraat!” says bride Amareen dancing through her bridal entry. The couple’s friends recalled their beautiful journey of 14 years of friendship as the real ’best friends marrying each other’.

Themed Functions

When it came to their functions, each event was designed with a theme in mind which was visible across the board through the décor, the clothes, the props and even photobooths and selfie points!
The celebrations kickstarted with a “La Fiesta” themed sundowner pool party at the Infinity Deck at Alila Diwa Goa overlooking the infinity pool and paddy fields which turned into absolute water & dance fest. The night saw a star studded “Bling It On” sangeet affair with shining dances and performances, with the bride stunning everyone by dancing on roller skates as the night’s highlight!! #BrideOnWheels happened for real!

Dreamy Walk Down The Aisle

A dreamy walk down the aisle to the love of her life, the rituals were serene and blissful with loved ones ringing in blessings and positive energy with wedding bells!

So which idea did you love the most?
