The Pandemic took its toll on everyone - from the wedding makers to the couples tying the knot. However, we can't help but be in awe of couples who beat the odds and decided to start their forever journey together - surrounded by their loved ones. Intimate weddings became the norm and we were proud of people who paid homage to their cultures and traditions and had safe weddings.
Navya & Aditya were one such couple. They had a beautifully intimate wedding in Bangalore and the celebrations were exactly what the couple had envisioned. And it was all planned in less than 3 weeks! However, one look at these stunning pictures and you will not believe how quickly the entire thing was planned and brought together. Adding to the whole charm of this intimate celebration was Navya in her bridal lehenga, which was the perfect combination of offbeat and tradition. The second covid wave hit our family extremely hard. As we struggled through personal loss and bereavement, planning a wedding was the furthest thing in our minds. However, three weeks before the original wedding date, we decided to throw caution to the wind and go through with the wedding. With nothing planned and less than 20 days to pull everything together, the universe somehow conspired to give us the wedding of our dreams– intimate, personal, and with our closest friends and relatives.

Make-Up Artist - Ralph Daniels
Ralph is a through and through perfectionist. He focuses on every little detail, every little drape, to make sure that his brides are dressed to perfection. I struggle with choosing make-up artists, because such few of them understand the minimal, dewy, makeup look, and I feel grateful for having chosen him because he understood the brief perfectly. He ensured that I looked different for every event, yet he kept my look minimal and natural, and more importantly, made me look like myself, and feel comfortable in my own skin. He is such a reassuring and steady presence in the hectic madness of getting ready for the wedding functions, and I had such fun having him and Kavitha dress me up. I would recommend him every single time.
Photographer - Nikhil Shastri
Nikhil very quickly transitioned from being the photographer to being a part of the wedding party. In the constant rescheduling of dates and events amidst the second covid wave, he was such a reassuring and steady part of the team and even moved his schedule around to be available on our dates. We can't decide whether we had more fun having Nikhil photograph us through the events or going through the final wedding photographs. Amidst the chaos that inevitably takes place in every wedding, he was constantly present and available, and even helped the groom get ready on time! All in all, he and his team created absolute magic, and we are so very grateful that we had them capture a lifetime of memories for us.
Wedding Planner - Purplerings
Neethi and her team are such go-getters! There really is nothing that they cannot do! The team put together the most dreamlike wedding in 20 days flat, just as the second covid wave was dying down. They were with us through all the ups and downs of rescheduling dates and changing plans amidst the pandemic. They are possibly one of the most organized planners, where even their "Plan B" was as beautiful and as well thought through as their "Plan A". Neethi personally oversaw everything and made sure I got things exactly the way I wanted them. I recall asking for certain decor elements for the wedding mandap, which was proving difficult to source. I stood my ground, and despite the short timeline, she found a way to make it happen. She is honest, clear, upfront, and straightforward about everything, and focuses on building you the wedding of your dreams. Neethi has become such a friend through the entire planning process, and I feel grateful that the Purplerings team truly created the wedding of our dreams.
DJ - DJ Jasmeet
Having DJ Jasmeet at our cocktail was possibly one of the best decisions we made. It was the first time our family and friends were coming together, since the pandemic, and Jasmeet made sure that no one ever left the dance floor. It was the first time we saw our grandparents dancing with our young nieces and nephews and it truly is a testament to how well Jasmeet instinctively understood the vibe of the crowd ensuring that everyone ended up having the party of their lives. We feel fortunate that he helped us bring our wedding festivities to a close, on such a fun and high note.
