Beautiful Dubai Wedding With A Couple That Defied The Age Norm

Breaking stereotypes, couples are now choosing to get married when they want to, and of course, most importantly, when it feels right! Whether it's in their late 30s or even 40s, weddings are now becoming a celebration of love rather than only companionship, and we are big cheerleaders of that! Here is a couple who got married in their 40s in a beautiful wedding in Dubai- and we are big fans of the elegant vibe that their nuptials exuded. The Moet Party was a lovely way to wrap up the celebration, and Designer Events Inc did a fab job on planning this pretty union.
Meet Kam and João
In all its beautiful ways that the universe works, Kam & João’s fate destined to cross paths unknowing that their pathways to a beautiful journey of forever has already begun long before they even knew each other. João’s homeland residing in the olden eras of Portugal to Kam’s nest away in the middle of the city of Royals, London were miles farther to each other but they found their way to each other in all possibilities.
Kam, born & brought up in a residence of a Sikh Indian family moved to Dubai to follow her career only to have João also receive an opportunity in the Golden City and chase down to the same path.
On an evening of 2018, in a conscious effort of trying to meet someone, Kam came across João’s profile on Inner Circle. The conversation got rolling and they met after a lot of exchange of emails. João could be seen on cloud 9 but Kam’s heart felt a miss of beat. Rescued by a friend who suggested Kam to give it another chance led to the second date Kam wasn’t too convinced of. The universe worked its way in this one and the pieces joined. And that’s it, there was no looking back. Head over heels in love, the two found a common language of love, they both knew this was it.

About The Wedding:
Decided to tie the knot at the age of 40, breaking barriers of stereotypes that try convincing generations to be married at a certain age. Bold & beautiful, the two only decided to tie the knot when it felt right. Age is just a number; Kam & Joao tell us through their journey. A beautiful Sikh Wedding took place in April 2022, defying all stereotypical thoughts of girls getting married by a certain age. Kam stuck to her instinct of finding true love and here she was granted with the same graciously.
The wedding was a glorious intimate celebration which spanned over 5 days. From a fun filled Haldi at their home, to a chilled vibe sundown henna party for her girls at the One & Only, the Royal Mirage to a crazy Sangeet night at the yacht with the Dubai Skyline as a happy spectator to a serene Anand Karaj at the One & Only, The Royal Mirage to the Celebratory Party at the Moet Lounge, One & Only, The Royal Mirage. The wedding would be remembered for generations to come. With an intimate guest list of 60 people, all the guests mostly flew in from different parts of the world.
The wedding was a beautiful amalgamation of cultures, traditions, ceremonies, celebrations and most authentically a lot of love.
The entire entourage for the wedding flew in from different parts of the world to plan this wedding – Indian Wedding Planners & Designers from Delhi, Portugese Wedding planners from Portugal and the Photographer and Videographer from Portugal too. The wedding saw a very personalised planning process. The planners and designers from Delhi did the entire décor at the Haldi & the mehendi on their own, the team of 2 managed sourcing of flowers, making of flowers and putting it all across. Similarly, we had one ace photographer and one ace cinematographer to cover the entire wedding and the pictures are a proof to the beautiful memories they have captured.
And that’s how the universe works, to always remind us that love can be found in unknown ways.

With Gunjan on the DJ sets, the party is sure to be a hit. He exactly knew what we want and knew how to get every one on the dance floor. He created an altogether different experience and knew his music really well. We had people from all around the world and Gunjan kept all of them on their toes. We were very happy with his work.
