Elegant Gurgaon Wedding With A Breathtaking Mehendi Function

A wedding at Napa Valley - doesn't that sound like a fairytale? Well, this couple had their intimate nuptial ceremony there in 2020. But it's only after their Gurgaon shaadi this March that they truly felt the joy of celebrating their togetherness. Due to all the Covid-related travel restrictions, unfortunately, their families and friends had only been able to catch them over a video call on their big day.
So two years later, the duo decided to make the most of their India visit and do the whole 'band, baaja, bride' shebang with all their loved ones. Planned immaculately with a lot of attention to detail by The Millennial Bridesmaid , this Gurgaon wedding was fun, beautiful and full of love. While all the functions were wonderfully organized, the Mehendi celemony particularly stood out with its bold, bright and tasteful décor.
Meet Akanksha & Saransh
"Saransh and I met at our grad school in California, where we came to study from India. We were in the same batch at the university and met through common friends. We both currently live in the States but our hometown is Delhi in India. Interestingly, we both are from West Delhi actually but met thousands of miles away," quips the bride.
Mehendi

Cocktail
This evening featured three events (cocktail, sangeet and ring ceremony) rolled into one grand affair. Some interesting personalized décor elements like Akanksha and Saransh's photos and quotes addressing the guests left everyone in awe.
Wedding
While the bride dazzled in a pastel pink lehenga on her big day, the groom complemented her perfectly by opting for a classic white bandhgala. The lovebirds got to wed each other traditionally amidst their friends and family after a long way and the joy showed on their faces.

Our wedding functions spanned across 12th and 13th March in 2022. We wanted to celebrate and enjoy thoroughly with all our friends and family in India. We already had a small intimate wedding in Napa, California at the end of 2020, because we couldn't fly home for a long time due to travel bans for Covid. As soon as we were able to come back home, we knew we wanted to do a big celebration and share all the amazing Indian wedding rituals with our families and make memories for a lifetime. It was important for us share these magical moments with our parents in person, not just over video calls. We wanted a big yet classy and elegant wedding.

Saurabh was wonderful - everything was so elegant, classy & right as per I had envisioned. Was a great process sitting with them starting from mood boards to making all my wishes a reality. He really never says "no" and can do anything. He & Aanchal planned gorgeous themes for each function that complimented the venue, weather & all elements came together really well.
