Glamorous pink wedding at Half Moon Bay, California

BY The WMG Bride | 27 Feb, 2015 | 6976 views | 3 min read

This wedding is equal parts glamour, equal parts fun (kissing menu- hello!) and equal parts pink !! With a bride who clearly is partial to that color, and a setting at Half Moon Bay (California) that is absolutely stunning,  this wedding is a mashup of Indian glam meets Hollywood red carpet . Us? Well we NEED those shoes in our closet like today ! 27-hot-pink-shoes-bridal (1) 32-navy-sherwani26-hot-pink-shoes-bridal (2)34-pinkbridalgotapattisaree (2)31-pinkgotapattilehenga36-015 (1)14-006007 (3)

Not sure what those signify, but maybe places the couple have visited together? Or would want to visit together?. Neat detail! From the bride:  I always knew I wanted a black tie wedding. My vision for my big day was basically something out of a Vanity Fair or Vogue photoshoot— men in a tux, women in gowns, the whole works. But I also wanted to make sure that both set of parents get to have their vision and dreams fulfilled. So we combined the two worlds— we had a traditional Jain- Hindu wedding in the afternoon and a strictly classy black tie reception at night. Some of my favorite ideas at our wedding was when we incorporated a Kissing Menu— which meant that overtime the guests wanted Gaurav and I kiss, they had to perform a little something— a dance, a song, a skit anything. We even danced a Jewish Horah at our wedding because of it.  We wanted to create a red carpet premiere kind of feeling so we had a wall with our monograms at the background which was something the crowd just ate up! Everyone loved it and it was a big hit! Then we had lots of games throughout the night with the sister of the groom and the best man emcee-ing all night :) I just wanted to be an Oscar De La Renta bride! I found the gown of my dreams which I wore to my reception- it was a Pink Oscar Bridal Ball Gown. I paired it up with Manolo Blahnik heels, and for the Hindu wedding I went with a pink lehenga with delicate embroidery from Surekha Jain. Oh btw Anu- the bride also blogs at Tea for two !!
