Who Wore What To The Grand Pre-Wedding Ambani Gala

Yup, being dubbed as the 'Ambani Met Gala' by many, this is an event of a magnitude that no one expected. It's a cross-over between the East and the West to the extend that anybody who is somebody is in attendance. With every event having a very specific offbeat theme and a reference moodboard for the outfits, you can imagine that this is one spectacle where everyone would turn up in nothing but the best. Kareena Kapoor Khan

The OG diva of Bollywood, here's what she wore during the Ambani pre-wedding festivities!

Day 1: Tarun Tahiliani

Styled by Rhea Kapoor, for Day 1, Kareena Kapoor wore a Tarun Tahiliani outfit in lilac with pearl work all over which looked amazing on her as usual, and made her stand out in the sea of black gowns. 

Day 2: Manish Malhotra

Now this chocolate brown sequin Manish Malhotra saree would have probably looked tacky on anyone else, but not on her! She looked stunning pairing it with a slicked back bun and heavy earrings on Day 2.

Day 3: Ritu Kumar

For the final event, Kareena wore custom gold Ritu Kumar outfit with an Indo-western silhouette, and paired it with the necklace she wore to her own Reception!

Deepika Padukone 

She may be in her second trimester, but the glam's still on point as always!

Day 1: Gauri & Nainika

For Day 1, Deepika embraced bowcore and ditched the usual glam for something more girly and chic in a black Gauri and Nainika gown. 

Day 2: Sabyasachi

It was a beige and black Sabyasachi lehenga for her, which looked better in the shoot honestly than at the venue. Absolutely loved her look for the day event, where she rocked some minimalistic glam, which was also Sabyasachi.

Day 3: Rimple and Harpreet Narula

For Day 3, she kept it traditional in a bandhani saree and embellished blouse that looked gorgeous on her! Love the simple styling with the mogra bun. 

Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt has been playing around and serving some amazing looks off late, and she did not disappoint here as well!

Day 1: Andrea Brocca

Alia Bhatt wore  @andreabrocca and looked stunning in a deep plunge velvet embellished gown. She's been taking risks with her style and outfits off late, and it seems to be paying off!

Day 2: Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla

She looked elegant in a gold lehenga by AJSK, while Ranbir Kapoor picked a blue sherwani. 

Day 3: Arpita Mehta

It was an embroidered mirror work ensemble in pastel and gold on Day 3, which was a pretty pick. She paired it with a pearl choker and earrings.

Sonam Kapoor 

Now she really brought out the big guns on every event! Styled by her sister Rhea Kapoor, she looked amazing on every event!

Day 1: Amir Al Kasm

She wore custom @amiralkasm for the evening, which was styled rather eccentric by her sister Rhea Kapoor. It was a different silhouette, something resembling a cape saree that looked glam and unique.

Day 2: Anamika Khanna 

She looked very elegant in a beautiful customised Anamika Khanna creation, paired with contrasting green and silver jewellery. Love that hemline on the blouse!

Day 3: Namza Couture

Easily one of our favourite looks of the evening, this was stunning on her! She wore heritage jewels, and the outfit was  the traditional attire of Ladakh! The Mogos, the primary garment, paired with the Bok cape for warmth, showcases the rich cultural tapestry influenced by the Silk Route. Crafted from silk by artisans of Benaras, this ensemble features intricate phoenix embroidery symbolizing energy and wisdom, with a crane motif representing peace and prosperity.

Karishma Kapoor

She's a true fashionista at heart, and this is very evident with her sartorial choices!

Day 1: Anamika Khanna

The other Kapoor sister has her glam always on point too, and stunned in a black and metallic Anamika Khanna creation on Day 1.

Day 2: Manish Malhotra

Looks like she had a lot of fun with her look, probably the one that nailed the brief for the event the best! Love this look in the ivory with the sispatti adding an Indian twist!

Day 3: Sabyasachi

It was an all-over Sabyasachi look for the final event. Pairing up a brown Sabyasachi saree with Sabya jewels and a modern bun, she looked regal and radiant.

Mira Rajput

She's one lady who knows how to dress up for the occasion, and how!

Day 1: Avaro Figlio

She was another sight for sore eyes in an outfit that was not black. She wore @avarofiglio and carried it off with style.

Day 2: Faraz Manan

She looked like a true diva in Faraz Manan, love the bodice and that embellished cape! Very subtle and classy, and paired so well with that breezy ponytail.

Day 3: Seema Gujral

All three light-toned looks, and this was yet another stunning one on her! 

Sara Ali Khan & Ibrahim Khan

She got the glam out for the Ambani event, and while she gets it right 5/10 usually, she was a 10 this time around!

Day 1: 

She rocked something that's not her recent style, and it did look very flattering on her!

Day 2: Manish Malhotra

She wore a chic pearl work Manish Malhotra lehenga on Day 2 with a fishtail skirt, which really suited her! 

Day 3: Manish Malhotra

She wore a custom outfit for the final event, which was a salwaar kameez which was definitely different from anything anyone else wore for the event.

Kiara Advani 

She was elegant as usual, and brought the glam out and how!

Day 1: Albina Dyla

Her body was bodying in this gorgeous black gown, which was stunning on her! The actor opted for a black leather bodycon gown with a 3D floral detail on the shoulder by @albinadyla to match the evening’s cocktail theme.

Day 2: Manish Malhotra

The couple wore their fave designer Manish Malhotra to the Mela, and suited the vibe of the event pretty well!

Day 3: 

Keeping it subtle in a pastel tissue saree, she looked pretty in pink!

Jahnvi Kapoor

Our own 'Kardashian', she really served up some looks!

Day 1: Gaurav Gupta

She wore a silver blue reptilian glass embroidery dress by Gaurav Gupta, which was a very fetching look on her!

Day 2: Manish Malhotra

She wore an ombre Manish Malhotra creation for the Mela with the hue popping on her!

Day 3: Manish Malhotra

She kept it super traditional for the final event, showcasing her South Indian roots in a saree draped like a lehenga with a waistbelt and a traditional hairstyle.

Katrina Kaif & Vicky Kaushal

Day 2: Ritu Kumar

They arrived on Day 2, and Katrina Kaif was seen in a pretty Ritu Kumar maxi dress belted at the waist.

Day 3: Sabyasachi

She wore an elegant ivory lehenga by Sabya for the Rouge Mela, which was an elegant choice.

Day 3: 

Loving this look on her- with the statement beaded sleeves, it's a win-win! Can't wait for the full photos.

While he wore Gaurav Gupta for the event, we loved his jungle themed look in a Sabyasachi shirt, which was fun yet dapper! For the evening he switched to a rather quirky GG outfit.

Shahrukh Khan, Gauri Khan & Suhana Khan

This fam brought the glam as usual although nothing pathbreaking here!

Ananya Pandey & Shanaya Kapoor

They kept it traditional, although Shanaya's look felt too heavy for someone her age!

Rani Mukherjee

She wore a plain red Sabyasachi saree which looked elegant, but quite a subtle choice for an event of the scale.

Natasha Poonawalla

Mrs Poonawalla wore  @bloni.atelier x @manishmalhotra05, and definitely stood out in the crowd with her unique choice of outfit. It had a literally dome in it! On Day 2, she wore Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.

Day 3: 

It was traditional with a twist on Day 3, with a 22k gold choti by Sunita Shekhawat that was the highlight of her look.

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan

Zuckerberg ditched his grey tee for the Ambanis! The couple painted a matching picture in Alexander McQueen- in line with the event. They then switched up into jungle themed attire on Day 2!

Ivanka Trump

Donald Trump's daughter wore a gold and silver sequinned Manish Malhotra saree and then an ivory lehenga by MM.
