The biggest mistake I have made by choosing him as my MUA on my wedding. He's extremely unprofessional and unreliable as he didn't turned up for my bridal makeup by making some false excuses. Later his team arranged some junior artist for the makeup which was definitely not worth the money and the quality of makeup and finishing was extremely poor. I would highly not recommend him, because as a bride you look forward to this day and this kind of unprofessional act can really mess up the most important day of your life. So choose your professional wisely. I have learnt my hard lesson. Abhijit Chanda is my biggest regret!

Major problem with his team and how they do business. Was directed to him through recommendation (based on his exceptional skills I'm sure)...was almost ready to pay but changed my mind at the last moment. Mainly because of his team. Would strongly recommend him to get a slightly amicable manager. Present person makes you feel like they're doing you a favor. I mean, being slightly nice doesn't cost much. Lost a potential customer for no reason at all. 😕

Abhijit Chanda might be a celebrity MUA but he needs to treat his client base in a better way. Over a telephonic enquiry he and his team was so arrogant. Strongly don't recommend him.

Couldn't have picked a better name for my wedding day makeup. The professionalism and taste were exactly aligned to how I had imagined my look to be, in fact better. I was initially apprehensive about it, because this needed travel to Abhijit's studio which is a good 45 minutes away from my place in Kolkata. But it was really worth it.

Worst experience. I had booked him for all my functions. On my wedding day he made me look horrible. The make up was like it was a party make up and the hair! Pathetic!

The WORST experience of the entire course of my wedding celebrations was when I got my makeup and hair done by abhijit for one of the smaller (luckily) functions! He walked in casually about an hour late without so much as an apology either from him or his equally incompetent and rude staff! Apart from that he was constantly just talking (bitching) about certain tollywood celebrities and producers while trying to ask me questions which were absolutely NONE of his business (What I got as wedding trousseau (specifically what brands- I mean just do you job?!!!) He caked me up so bad, I looked like the lead ghost from a horror movie but kept insisting that it would eventually set ! (It really didn't) and just wouldn't listen when I protested! This wasn't even the worst of it! While doing my hair, he was consulting with other brides to be when I had booked him for that slot ! The result? Limp and damp hair that made it look as though I had just oiled it! Cakey and patchy makeup and a beautiful lehenga made to look like trash simply because of the way he had draped it ! This man is the most incompetent, overrated, unprofessional and shameless "makeup artist" (If you can remotely call him that) there is ! And it's a travesty that this is the level of disservice I got after paying good money (absolutely down the drain) to him! Suffice to say it wouldn't be an exaggeration that a local salon artist would be a better makeup artist, heck my dog could probably do better ! I had prior to this appointment, paid an advance to him for my wedding reception appointment , which I obviously didn't keep despite the hefty payment already remitted ! This is a public service announcement more than anything else, to all those looking for a good hmu artist in kolkata, you'd be much better off with Prasenjit or Nabin das both of whom are not only WAY more talented, but also much more professional (I've worked with them both) To abhijit , all I wonder is how he sleeps at night knowing he is such a SHAM!

He showed up 1 hour 45 mins late for my engagement make up and made me miss my muhurat. After showing up so late he tried to speed through my hair and makeup which resulted in the look not turning out very good. Made me cry bucket loads of anxious tears before my engagement due to his late arrival

Their team was lovely, very talented with her profession-art of makeup and hairstyles. As per my experience I would recommend their team to all the people out there, for any type of events or occasion to get done hairstyles and makeup.

I’m not very comfortable with makeup n like to keep things very basic... and Abhijit Da did completely that... he knows what will suit you best... so my advice to the brides is sit back and witness the magic that he does.
