She is a thorough professional, very punctual, and very easy to work with. As someone who is barely used to makeup, I didn't give Anchal much to go by except I was looking for a very natural look. She was patient and meticulous, and made sure I felt comfortable in, and loved, my look on both days. Her hairstylist, Ali, is extraordinarily skilled. I stumbled upon Anchal’s Instagram page while looking for a makeup artist for my wedding. I wanted someone who wouldn’t overdo my makeup and would keep it natural yet perfect. My wedding planner recommended Anchal to me last minute as the makeup artist we originally hired had to cancel the booking due to personal reasons. I think the best way to put it is, Anchal was a breath of fresh air. I think to say I was lucky would be an understatement. Anchal was recommended to me by a very close aunt of mine. I was apprehensive seeing as I was not able to have an immediate trial session (I live in America and was not going to be in India till a month or two before my wedding) I mean considering the memories I have of some make up artists painting brides with layers of white foundation. ::Shiver:: I finally called up Anchal and told her about my concerns/irrational fear. With her warm personality, I was put completely at ease. She calmly explained the kinds of products she uses and her approach to make up-- minamlistic yet bold. (My greatest fears were put to rest!) I created an Instagram account to follow her work and I have to say, I keep thanking my aunt. I loved every look she gave each bride. Unique to their own personality. Each bride looked true to Anchal's style. In my case, I felt I looked like every bit the bride I intended to and more. She always made it easy to communicate despite being on different time zones. She would answer all my ridiculous questions and never seemed irritated. After meeting Anchal, I remember telling her that I was so confused as to how my make up should be on my wedding day (do I go bold eyes and light lips? Bold lips and light eyes? Oh, the options were endless.) After a heart beat, I distinctly remember her saying, "relax and just leave that to me." It was great having Anchal and Ali (hairstylist) for all my wedding events. Having discussed the looks with Anchal before the events, I definitely got the comfort and confidence early on, but on the main day, their professional service and flexibility built my trust. I hired Anchal for my Cocktail-Engagement, Mehndi-Haldi as well as for my wedding. It was an absolute delight to have her as my make up artist as she clearly understood my perspective as well as what I required for my makeup. She is a good listener and gave me the natural look which I desired. It was so much fun getting my make up done by her as she makes the environment very comfortable.
