From our very first meeting, we could tell that we were in the hands of a true professional who genuinely cared about making our dream wedding come to life. listened to our ideas with patience and enthusiasm, offering thoughtful suggestions that made our vision even better. Throughout the planning process, Tarun was always organized, responsive, and on top of every little detail — from selecting vendors to creating a perfect timeline. What impressed us most was how calm and composed remained, even when unexpected challenges came up. We booked Tarun a full year in advance after already securing our venue. He assured us that he had extensive experience with destination weddings and that we would have the opportunity to interview and select our own vendors. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite. By the time we officially began planning (around three months out), my husband and I had already done most of the legwork ourselves: securing the venue, menu, alcohol, and even creating detailed mood boards with color palettes and timelines for each event. When we began planning calls, Tarun agreed to everything I had outlined—but as the weeks went by, nothing was delivered. One month before the wedding, I still had no flower plan, no décor mock-ups, and no clarity on major details. When I pushed for updates, he told me I was “acting like an Indian bride” and that I should “be nicer” if I didn’t want to be a “bridezilla.” It became clear he didn’t know how to respectfully communicate with women. My husband eventually had to take over because Tarun was dismissive and unprofessional with me. He also informed us—contrary to his promises—that we would not be allowed to choose our vendors, flowers, or color palettes. He frequently told me that my ideas “wouldn’t look good” and insisted on doing things his way. The results were disastrous: • Seating charts were completely wrong at every event, despite me providing printed versions—families and couples were split apart. • Photography was never coordinated in advance, so I missed out on important shots I had wanted. • staff (“shadows” we paid extra for) were unhelpful, hard to find, and at one point we even found one asleep in the hotel lobby. • Tarun and his team were often seen eating, drinking, and sitting on the sidelines while my husband coordinated everything. • Decor and flowers were completely off from what was requested. I explicitly said no carnations (as they symbolize funerals in the U.S.), yet they were everywhere. Rugs for the aisle were mismatched, dirty, and dangerous—I tripped walking down them. • Ceremony flower cannon malfunctioned, filling the air with smoke and eventually blasting shredded dyed flowers that stained my $8,000 dress and my husband’s $2,000 suit. • Personalized signage was wrong—our names were misspelled or reduced to “T & N” instead of the “Tush & Tash” we requested. • Tents were never ordered until the day before, leaving us with one last-minute option that didn’t match anything. And then we were told we owed money for them even though they were listed as included in our communications. To make matters worse, Tarun forced us to film a testimonial video for him in the middle of our reception dancing. It was invasive, inappropriate, and manipulative. He later used this video for promotion while deliberately avoiding tagging us, though he continuously tagged a famous relative of my husbands after we had explicitly asked him not to. Communication with guests was also terrible. Friends texted me throughout the wedding week saying they could not reach him for transportation or logistics. Instead of reducing my stress, he added to it at every turn. We were also charged for items that were supposed to be included, without explanation or accountability. I waited a full year to write this review because I didn’t want my wedding memories clouded by negativity. But it’s important for future couples to know what they are getting into. If you are used to American standards of professionalism, service, and accountability—be warned. Our experience with was deeply disappointing and unprofessional, and it left us feeling that we had to run our own wedding while paying for a planner who simply did not deliver. While walking into each event shocked by how different it looked than what was discussed in great length.

We dealt primarily with Tarun. We wish we hadn’t selected these guys. Way too much of the planning and management was down to us. At no point did we feel that he was saving money for us, and his vendor search wouldn’t go beyond his limited, expensive hand picked vendors. His planning was not comprehensive - and both families had to fill in the gaps numerous times. Too often he would blame external circumstances or family members for his own shortcomings, all of which came to a head when DURING THE WEDDING, while I was dancing with my family, he was making frantic calls to me to complain about my father in law yelling at his team members because his team hadn’t managed the cabs properly. Cons: 1. Dishonesty - While signing the contract with the wedding venue, Tarun tried to get his own name on the contract, and tried giving outlandish explanations for the same. We had made it clear in the beginning that we would evaluate other vendors for decoration, and not just him. He kept delaying finalising the decoration vendors, presumably so that he himself could do the decoration. 2. Vendor Selection - Tarun’s recommended vendors would charge rates 2-3 times higher than other vendors. He would give very limited options, and if told to find cheaper options, he would delay and distract, and would never get back. Ultimately, we had to find our own vendors if we wanted to save costs. Whenever we asked him to negotiate rates with his vendors, he was disinclined to. 3. Planning - Despite making a plan well in advance, nothing was finalised until the very last couple of weeks. We ourselves had to finalise a lot of the vendors, or we had to push Tarun to finalise those vendors. After the first couple of weeks, we stopped having weekly calls unless we pushed for it. 4. Responsiveness - Tarun was often late for meetings and for calls. We had to cancel multiple meetings. Discussions were never to-the-point. Discussions that should take a couple of minutes would stretch for 15-20 minutes without getting to the point. Calls and messages would often go unanswered. 5. Event Management - Just too many last minute decisions. The room allotment was not managed properly. As an example, soft drink cans were procured in ridiculously high quantities, and were not refrigerated. Family members simply had to be involved to make up for his team’s shortcomings. Pros: 1. Friendly. You can have a good conversation with him. 2. He can create a google spreadsheet, even if he doesn’t update it regularly. 3. He gave you the feeling that he would be able to handle things if they were to go wrong. 4. Hand delivering boxes of sweets to different people in the city was managed well.

I approached Tarun from AS YOU WISH for my Sister’s wedding. I was mesmerised by the wedding designs shown to me within the first meeting. As I explored more options for the wedding, I came to the conclusion that nothing can beat AS YOU WISH’s planning and I finalised the wedding with their team. The team delivered more than promised. I was relieved that I have a reliable planners supporting me and my family. My association with them felt like they are handling their own family’s wedding. Their team understood our requirements and delivered with utmost diligence. A wedding is something where some things are planned on the spot, they made sure that impromptu requirements are taken care of with due patience. From decor to venue, catering, accommodations, photography, mehandi artists, molecular bar; everything was beautifully arranged. They truly made my sister’s wedding, the happiest day of her life ♥️ Now, it would be my honor and pleasure to be associated with AS YOU WISH for my own wedding. Looking forward to work with them.

I worked with As You Wish for my Mehndi and wedding ceremony in Gurugram in November 2022 and had a fantastic experience! I am based in the U.S. and wanted to have my wedding in India. My parents did not have any prior experience with wedding planning, and I knew that coordinating things in a different country would be difficult. Tarun and his team were a pleasure to work with. When I first approached him, I knew I would go ahead with him a few minutes into our conversation. Instead of jumping straight to the numbers/pax, he took the time to understand what I was looking for and explain what his team could do for us. That made him stand out to me! The communication was always excellent, and they readily accommodated the time zone differences. They gave us plenty of options within our budget and considered our preferences. There was always a lot of flexibility with vendor choices, and we never felt rushed or compelled to commit to someone we were unsure about. They even went out of their way to help finalize a few vendors for our reception in Udupi, which they were not even organizing. They delivered on time and kept us posted about delays, if any. It was their first time planning a Nikah ceremony (hard to believe, considering they did such a good job!), and they delivered beyond our expectations. The result was two beautifully executed events with exquisite decor and a memorable time for our friends and family. Like any other occasion, there were minor glitches that Tarun’s team handled seamlessly behind the scenes. Most importantly, my family felt supported, knowing that we had a reliable team to fall back upon. All in all, I would highly recommend As You Wish, and I hope that we get to work with them again. The team is very professional, honest, and fun to work with. One of the online reviews mentioned that they treat you like family, which couldn't be more accurate. My wedding was everything I dreamed of and then some more. I am so thankful to Tarun and his entire team for their hard work and the memories that will stay with us forever!

They made my dreams come true! We just got married in December of 2019. We got engaged less than 6 months prior, and having had time to reflect on our experience post-wedding, we couldn't have done it, and had such a beautiful day without Tarun + Tamanna .We got the full planning option with them, and it was worth every penny and then some! Our design and vision were perfectly executed by them. It was like they downloaded everything I wanted/envisioned from my brain to theirs. They knew what decisions to make, and what I wanted, without needing very much input from my end, which worked perfectly for me :) They were so warm and professional to work with. Personally, I don't know how they put up with having to work with me, because I could be a little particular at times to say the least. The month of, week of and day of were all especially flawlessly executed by them. It was perfect, because when it came down to "crunch" time, everyone was asking me if I needed help with anything etc. , I had nothing to do, and that was perfect.
