Catering Inn is a venture by super-talented and hard-working Mrs. Chitra Bali. Based in Bangalore, it all began when a friend working in a corporate office asked Mrs. Bali if she could provide office lunches for him and his team. She started with supplying 6 lunches daily, operating from home. By the grace of God, the business grew due to word of mouth recommendations and sheer hard work. Today Catering Inn has a self-owned well equipped 6000 square foot kitchen in the heart of the city at Yeshwantpura. They have catered for all Bangalore's major companies at one time or another, prestigious Institutes like the Indian Institute of Science, Indian Academy of Sciences and Raman Research Institute, many social events like festivals and weddings and continue to do so. Catering Inn has been awarded the 'Efficient Vendor' award by Phillips India and awards for women entrepreneurs.
