I was extremely worried as I was searching for a makeup artist from outside of India, and was unsure and stressed prior to my wedding to find a good MUA. I had a trial with Revathi, where she explained that the trial makeup will just be a small fraction of the overall looks on the big days (mehendi/Sangeet, engagement, wedding), whilst also helping me understand what products would be good for my skin to buy prior to the days, as well as types of jewellery and accessories that I could potentially purchase. She was very good at putting me to ease, and we had a few follow up calls as well once I travelled out, making me more confident on my looks. Coming to the looks itself - Revathi is extremely patient and confident in the looks that she gives you. She’s also extremely accommodating and patient, and will make you feel very comfortable and safe with the makeup and hairstyles that she does for you. If I was nervous, she would constantly tell me that the looks can always be altered - which actually never needed to be altered as she did a wonderful job. The products she used were great and she gracefully makes you look your best. I had so many guests, friends and relatives telling me that I was looking absolutely beautiful, thanks to Revathi. I was also incredibly nervous about my mehendi / Sangeet looks, as the function was over 5 hours, and my make up was started 8 hours ahead - it was also an outdoor event, while the heat was 31 degrees, and I was scared that my make up would not last…but surprisingly the make up stayed until I went to bed past midnight that day. So, I had booked Revathi after researching a bit and seeing the reviews.. which were excellent to begin with.. and im so glad i did :). From the start, we were planning everything on call as we were in 2 different cities, and I was gonna get married in Chennai, which was completely new to me.. but after speaking with Revathi i was quite comfortable. She understood exactly what i was expecting, patiently saw all my outfits, suggested amazing looks to go with it and even the most economical way to go about things ☺️. Hi All, I called her few weeks before my wedding, she was was very friendly and kindly explained all kinds of makeup services she provided and its pros and cons. This helped me choose wisely. I booked her for my pen azhaipu function, she did an amazing job! Saree draping on point! She was kind enough to travel to my house through unexpected rain just for my outfit change. She came ready for all the last minute issues that a bride might face. My maang tikka and hipbelt were not fitting properly at the last minute due to some issue with the jewelry. But Revathi did not give up, she used her own work-around and tied both hipbelt and maangtikka with thread. So thankful for that, without which my look would not have been complete. Her first priority is to make the bride look the way they want on their special day. And she did it for me. She is very friendly and professional.
