I recently had my makeup done by Iza Setia for my wedding and it was honestly the best makeup application I've ever had. The makeup lasted all day night and still looked flawless throughout the evening. She is the worse makeup artist I have visited to... to start with, my engagement was on 6th March and wedding on 8th March and I was very particular about the kind of makeup I wanted for my D-day and so I visited many makeup artists for trials before finalising one. I had booked her for engagement and wedding and had discussed my dress, hairstyle and everything before hand itself. But to my surprise, the 1st day I went to her, she doesn’t even remember that I had come to her for trials. I myself do makeups and mostly Indian face has different colour tones all over the face and you need to generate colour tones mixing multiple foundations but she directly picked Dior UC030 and applied all over my face. though in normal days, I go for either dior 35 or 40 and when I asked she said this is because I wanted a lighter shade. she doesn’t even know the shade numbers defines shades not only as darker or lighter but each shade has red, yellow or brown tone as well. secondly, I had booked her for airbrush makeup so she fooled me about it. she applied one layer of foundation with normal brush and simply turned on airbrush without filling it with foundation. When I started telling her how disappointed I am with the makeup. she says, I don’t use Dior generally as it is expensive and I am using it on you. Let me tell you this, a undercover Dior foundation comes for 35£ and I paid paid her 15k for one makeup. next comes, my hairstyling, well the person who did my styling did my hair colour as well and that day he did very good curls so I chose him for my styling again but her just couldn’t understand what I was actually looking for and took an hour to totally mess up my hair and finally I had to tell him to leave my hair as is but I would not complaint much about him as he atleast tried. Finally I had to cancel her last minute and book other artist for my wedding makeup and thankfully I got one. I can never forget the nightmare she gave me that day.
