So happy to have worked with Karen, Ivan and the team. The decor was just what I wanted minimal, chic and gorgeous. They know what looks best in Goa. We discussed everything in detail months before the wedding and it was a treat to the eyes to see everything perfect on the big day. Their coordination team also helped us with vehicle coordination with the goa cab drivers etc from the other hotel (which is a draconian task in itself). First thing I would like to say is we were lucky to come across their work & finalise them for our wedding decor. They had very little time to plan our wedding because we approached them late. But the way Karen & Ivan pulled off things in such a short span was really impressive. Karen and Ivan did a fantastic job in putting our wedding events together! Since we were planning our wedding from abroad, for us the most important thing was how responsive and professional the two of them were - not once did we have to chase them for information, which was a huge relief. In terms of decor, they nailed our reception decor and we couldn't have asked for anything better! They were really easy to approach and sent designs to us for review after first understanding what we wanted our wedding to feel like. Where do I begin about Karen and Ivan? I was doing my MBA in London, while my husband was working in the US, when we decided that we wanted a to have our traditional destination wedding in Goa. Soon after we finalized our venues, I was assigned a wedding planner by the venue itself. Unfortunately, I was very unhappy with their style and ideas, and (not surprisingly) I went into panic mode, and decided to take matters into my own hands… And after a lot of research, I came across KV Décor and immediately reached out to Karen and Ivan to see if they were available – and luckily, they were! My biggest worry was to plan a wedding from a different country – there were so many nagging questions – where do I start? how do I find my vendors? What if the decorations look entirely different in person than in pictures? I was in a frenzy… But as the months went along, everything started falling into place, thanks to Karen and Ivan. Karen and Ivan are magic workers, and I’m still in awe of how they managed to get everything done exactly the way I wanted it. Karen single-handedly guided me through each step. She started off by sorting out all my vendors for me - she helped me find my photographers, make-up artists, mehendi ladies, DJ, cake artist etc. etc. And I was happy with every single vendor she recommended. Karen told me exactly what needed to be done, and when. In short, she really cares about your wedding, and makes you feel like the most important bride in the world! After we locked in my vendors, Karen and I went into a brain-storm session of exactly how I wanted my dream wedding to look. We exchanged no less than 20 power-points with each other, going over every detail of the wedding. Starting from the theme, to colour-palettes, to every décor element, Karen patiently took her time to understand my vision. What I loved about working with her, was knowing that she would give me her opinion if she felt that something wouldn’t look good, and would give me a better suggestion when needed. This gave me the confidence and trust that she knew what she was doing, and became more of a friend by the end of it all. All of this obviously wasn’t easy for either of us to do through e-mail, but thanks to Karen’s efficiency and passion for her work, we were able to get everything done smoothly and without any delays, despite being in different countries. She responded quickly to my e-mails and texts, and would keep me in the loop with everything. When we met for the first time in Goa, Karen and Ivan made sure they brought me the décor elements as promised, so that I could approve of them before the event dates. There were no surprises or complications -- Ivan made sure all the licenses and contracts were in place, payment terms were stated clearly and all my concerns addressed on time. In addition, they also helped me set up meetings with all my vendors, months before the wedding date. We had an intimate 100 guest wedding with family and close friends only. I wanted a fun, colourful carnival style mehendi ceremony; a subtle, morning wedding with pastels and florals; and a classy/elegant reception with lots of candle-lights – nothing too flashy, or over-the-top. Karen was able to deliver all of this, and more… she is a creative genius with a very sophisticated sense of style. I had also asked for many last-minute things like reception programs, room-hampers, entourage accessories etc. and Karen was able to provide all of this without fail, under a serious time-crunch. The KV Décor team worked very late hours before the event days to make sure everything was perfect and set-up on time. As an extremely picky bride, I went over every little detail of how I wanted my flow of events to go, all of which was perfectly executed by the KV Décor team and the vendors recommended by them. I highly recommend KV Décor – they are super professional, super caring, and extremely down to earth people who will do whatever it takes to make your wedding, a one for the books!

Couldn’t have made a better choice for one of the most critical elements of a beautiful wedding. Karen is a creative wizard. Her ideas are original, fresh and vibrant. When we met for the detailed discussion of the wedding deco, she took the time to understand the different elements that we liked; to understand our tastes, likes and dislikes. She then proposed various ideas circling around that so the entire deco comes together like a beautiful artwork. For example, I love green, and I love vines and I love crystal. She took that and created a Mandap with logs and creepers and used baubles and bulbs for the background. Additionally she used vines as chandeliers for the seating area as well, so it all looked like a beautiful set. Even the deco for the Haldi ceremony was so vibrant with colour– the attention to detail to every small element is what weaves magic in her work. As creative as she is, one of the huge positives is she is very articulate and clear about her views – so she wouldn’t shy away from giving you an honest feedback about suggestions, opinions etc. during the discussions which was immensely helpful. Very professional in her execution, it was truly a pleasure working with her – would certainly recommend her strongly. Thanks a ton Karen, truly!!!

Don't know we're to start from, but I guess I'll start from somewhere. My fianc (now wife) and I live in the UK and we were planning our wedding in Goa. I proposed a year ago (25th September 2016) in Goa, and we made up our minds right there to have the wedding also in Goa. Now this was a huge task, as we had no one in Goa to help us with planning or sourcing vendors. We did some research on the Internet and found a few "well-known" wedding planners in Goa (top 5). We decided to get in touch with one of them. Half way through we figured out that they didn't really understand our vision of what we wanted?."we didn't want that "traditional decor? or feel to it at all. But they kept pitching things that looked "too traditional- Indian" nothing wrong with that, it just wasn't what we wanted. We were back to the drawing board with the search for a planner. My wife (then fianc) is an Instagram freak.....She can find anything and everything on IG. She found KVDECOR. We browsed through their page and found some really lovely dcor, similar to what we've had in mind. Although they were loads of pictures on their page, we were quite confident that they could give us our dream wedding. We reached out to Karen, and realised they were a decor company only, and not planner. We were a bit disappointed, as we still needed someone to oversee the whole project. I happened to travel to Mumbai for work in April, and decided to rush down to Goa to meet Karen in person. I was blown away by both Karen and Ivan. They were so warm and friendly. They drove me around to view some venues for our welcome party, and even got us a discount on the venue as they knew the owner. Karen decided to help us out with the planning (FREE?. she never charged us for this). Karen and Ivan were very helpful with sourcing vendors, even when we weren't satisfied with some vendors, she went on to search further to meet exactly what we wanted. Honestly, I'll say Karen and Ivan were a blessing to us. They handled everything from planning (sourcing all the vendors: Wedding band (Crimson Tide), emcee (Frazier Martins), DJ, hair & makeup, bouquets & boutonnieres, henna artist, caricature artist, licenses etc.), decor, coordinating, airport pickups, welcome bags, etc. They are trustworthy and honest people. We sent huge amounts of money to their accounts, which they helped us pay off the other vendors. Our Wedding was everything and more we ever dreamed of. It was PERFECT. And won't change a thing. 75% of our guests came from outside India, and every one of them had an amazing time at our wedding. We got so many messages from our guests about how beautiful and fun the wedding was. Thank you Karen and Ivan for everything. We could not have ever wished for any other wedding planners.
