Moitreyi knows her work. She did good makeup. She worked as per what I had mentioned to her. I had told her minimal makeup which she had catered to. Since this was the first time I used professional help for makeup I didn't know what to expect but she did her job well. What I didn't like was her attitude. She hurried me so much into the process that I got ready too early for the wedding and couldn't even complete my Gaye holud. She was not even being polite. She entered the venue and started creating a ruckus. Although she had prior informed that she will not waste time but her behaviour on the day of event was unacceptable. She even created a ruckus in the bridal room as she had to attend another bride. I understand it's every bride's special day so I believe it's the responsibility of the artist to keep enough space gap in timings so as to manage traffic well and not panic.

Moitrei from KohlEyes to BerryLips did my sister's bridal makeover for her engagement, wedding and reception events. I, being the bride's sister, got my party look done as well. Moitrei is undoubtedly the best in the makeover industry ! Her blending is flawless. My sister's dark circles were taken care of, and the pimple marks vanished seamlessly ! In spite of all such face corrections that she did with her products, her makeup ended up with a very natural yet glowing finish, all 3 events. And yes, the makeup stayed intact and fresh all the while ! The hairstyles for all 3 events were great too, most importantly, versatile and apt as per the theme of the events. Coming to the draping, she gave us options to choose from. We loved the look she finally did for us. Not just this, Moitrei is superpunctual and superprofessional. Worked with Moitrei for my engagement look in January. I had huge expectations after seeing her reviews here and other places. 1. I won't say that I looked bad on that day but the look was very underwhelming. It looked more like a daily office going makeover and not for a bridal function. The base was darker than my natural skintone (neck) which made the overall look dull and non-glamorous. 2. I wanted a low makeup look, but at the same time chose Bobby Brown products hoping for a natural yet full coverage base. But the coverage was so minimal that it didn't even cover my slightly darker chin area. And my skintone looked uneven and ashy in the photos with even the lightest pigmentations visible in all the photos. (I don't have any hyperpigmentation issues. Even a medium coverage concealer and foundation can cover them perfectly). Bobby Brown provides buildable coverage. So appropriate color correctors and little more product would have given a smoother, even-toned and polished finish without looking cakey. The unevenness make the final look shoddy. 3. As this was my first time experience with professional makeup artist, so I didn't know what to expect. In the confirmation email, it was declared that all premium products will be used ("The cosmetics to be used for the bride's makeup will consist of 98% - 99% of HD Mac & Bobbi Brown products. The remaining minor percentage may involve high-end cosmetics of other Global brands i.e., NARS, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Inglot, Tarte, Smashbox, KIKO Milano, Sephora, etc.") Yet for eye makeup Maybelline Colossal mascara was used which is a ₹350 product for amateurs/college-goers. The eye makeup turned out to be decent. But that's not the point. I thought this was a one time case that happened with me and wouldn't have mentioned it here. But I saw some other clients have also commented the same here. I think if someone is paying 14k or 18k for engagement or bridal makeover, it's only fair to use whole range of professional products even for the little details. Because we book professional artists for important events like wedding and engagement so we get access to premium products which we don't usually purchase for one or two time usage. So, if you're looking to book any MUA, please double check exactly what products they will be using for your makeover. And if possible, get a trial before you book someone. So, you are not surprised on your special day. Your makeup is the last thing you want to be worried about on your wedding. P.S. I have consciously stayed away from remarking the look I was given as good or bad, as everyone has different aesthetic sense and I am sure she tried her best. My review is mostly about some of the technical/professional aspects of the services rendered that can be improved in the future.

On the day of my wedding reception, Moitrei did my makeup. She is a true magician. Her behaviour must be appreciated. She understands your comfort zone. I told her not to use any kind of false eyelashes, still I loved the way she did my eye makeup. Everything was on point. It was as natural as possible ❤️ Loved her artistry 👍🏻

I felt gorgeous and yet not overdone at all. She also went the extra mile in draping my very beautiful yet extremely unmanageable organza saree.The quality of the makeup products and eyelashes was very good. I definitely recommend her. One small thing: I have short hair and felt like her hair stylist is not very used to styling short haired people. May be some improvement is required in that regard.

The makeup look with the Lehenga went so well that I felt royal and everybody was praising me for my Look. Hi, I booked KohlEyes to BerryLips for my sister-in-law, Saakshi's reception bridal makeover. The artist made Saakshi look way more beautiful than our expectations. The makeup was done in neutral tones with slight tints from her attire colour to match the look. So subtle yet glamorous she looked ! The hairstyle was also quite fascinating - a messy braid with gypsophila decorations to enhance the look further. Since Saakshi was not wearing a veil for the reception party, we were quite anxious about the hairstyle part and Saakshi ended up not just satisfied, but very very happy ! I like the make up done by her completely. The make up was very natural as I wanted . But I would say it was difficult to talk with her . I found her unprofessional when it came to conversation. She has some attitude problems. I have edited my ratings , previously it was 3.5 , i have reduced it to 1.5 . The people related with this make up studio is actually threatening me after giving the review . The name of the person is aparsi, which is a close friend to the Moitrei(make up artist) . She has been harassing me by msging me . I really recommend not to take any bookings as they are actually harassing the customers. A person has all the right to give the review for anyone who has taken any service , but this type of behaviour is shocking . My whole family is shocked with this behaviour of a make up artist and were actually faced a lot of problems with their behaviour on my wedding day . The forced me to write a apology letter by harassing me that they won’t do the make up until unless I apologise for actually asking them to come one hour before . She actually made a total mess just few hours before my wedding . Totally a big no from my side . I didn’t mention this in my previous review bcz I didn’t want to make a fuss about it , but after this harassment I couldn’t help it .

Moitrei was my makeup artist for my reception getup. She did a fab job on understanding my skin tone and keeping the look light and non cakey. I had good suggestion on eye and lip shades. She was on time at the venue and did her job in the said duration. The hairstylist needed some handholding as my hair had a oil look and both of them did their best to do away with. The hairdo was as I had asked for.

Moitrei was my make up artist on my big day. I was absolutely happy with her work . Amidst a pack of make-up artistes who just paint the brides just like a clay idol , moitrei's work completely stands out . My make up was neither loud nor very simple. I had selected her looking at the reviews and her work. I was looking for someone who would give me a natural makeup look for my wedding. I'm writing the review a year after my wedding after a lot of deliberation and consideration. Our conversations prior to the wedding day was very smooth and helpful. The makeup on the wedding day was also great. However, on the day of the wedding she took 80% of the time for makeup, out of which most was dedicated to eye makeup. Her colleague(who does the hair and saree draping) barely had any time before the mahurat. She was rude to her colleague. I didn't get any time to take getting ready shots as a bride. Her colleague pinned the saree wrong, there was a safety pin which was placed at a weird place and the saree looks bad in all my photos. Her colleague also used paper pins in my hair, which were facing outwards and could have cut my hands. I was more stressed on the wedding day, although the makeup turned out great.

Moitrei was everything and more that I could have asked for in my makeup artist as the bride. If you want makeup service similar to what celebrities have, i.e. very natural and not over the top, Moitrei is the ONE! Extremely talented, she's a true artist. Most importantly, she looks at makeup the way I do as a client, and that's why I was immediately attracted by her work. As she says, makeup should not change how a person looks, it should enhance the beauty every person already has. While she was doing my makeup, she even showed how she hid one of my blemishes only 95%, because hiding it fully would need a much thicker layer of makeup and that wouldn't look natural! With many other makeup artists, I have constantly had to tell them to not change my skin color or change the shape of my nose. I like how I look, but most makeup artists try to create a painted, decorated face that they think is beautiful. Moitrei is not such an artist. I didn't have to tell her anything, in fact I trusted her completely with both my looks, a very Indo western look for my Sangeet, and a full on traditional look for my Bengali wedding. She did magic, I can't stop looking at my own pictures because she made me look soooo beautiful and glowing. She knows how important a bride's look is on her D-Day, and she really delivered the best service. Ruma di created perfect hairstyles on my sangeet as well as wedding. I was very scared how I would look with the typical bengali hairdo, but they kept on adjusting my hair until I was happy. In the end it was perfection!! Both Moitrei and Ruma di felt like friends by my second event, we were chatting and cracking jokes and basically had such a fun time during the makeup. I am totally a fan, and if there's any event in future where I need makeup, I'm coming back to her for sure!!

Due to this reason makeup seemed to be quite normal. It didn't look like a 15k makeup. 3) she used a cheap brand VOV for eyeshadow. My Banarasi saree was a lovely colour,but the eye look she gave me was making my complexion look more dark. I had said her that I don't want excess makeup,but the makeup should be sober and beautiful.But the makeup I received didn't meet up to my expectations. 4) the assistant that came along with Moitrei was very unprofessional. She twisted the u pins in my scalp in such a way that I got scars and wounds in my scalp. I kept reminding her to be gentle,but I was getting too much hurt. 5) I got my wedding makeup done from Mayuri Professional makeup studio,which was awesome and I received too many compliments for it.She did exactly what I wanted.I expected the same on my reception and I paid more for it,but the result was not upto my expectation from KohlEyes! 6) over the phone I found the MUA was gentle,but face to face I found her quite rude and unprofessional. Very sorry to say but I would give it a 2 stars out of 10. Don't know for whom it worked, it did not work for me In addition to my previous comments,I would also like to tell u that I had very clearly mentioned that I m very comfortable with my skin tone and I love it...I guess u don't know how to what is to be done and what is not to be done..and moreover u are asking for review and feedback,and when the person is given u feedback u can't take that!!! So I would suggest u that u need to learn manners first and then mend your professional skills!!! In 1.5hrs you are finishing your makeup and 101 times u r complaining about light,fan, my lips, eyes,etc!!! I know I m quite decent and my looks are also great.. instead of pointing out mistakes for eyes,lips,nose, u need to learn your work first.. anyways had a bad experience and would not change my comments...150000 is quite a lot of money for me... Maybelline mascara is for beginners just for your info... anyways if I had an option to give a negative mark, would have done so!!!

Moitrei was fabulous- professional, courteous and adapted to becoming a friend rather than a vendor through the course of the afternoon. We got my sister in laws wedding reception make up done along with party make up for my Ma and myself. We all loved her work, and each one of us received amazing compliments through the evening and also when the photos came out. None of us are big on make up and she kept to our ask of keeping it natural. The most important part here was that she listened to us rather than force her idea or opinion. Based on the WMG reviews, I had selected this artist and was looking forward to an impressive makeover. It was quite underwhelming. To start, a MUA should atleast have a couple looks ready based on the requirements and picture of the bride. I even shared references earlier and the only reply I got was "sure". Honestly where is the discussion to arrive to a mutual understanding of the final look? When I booked her services and had asked her to come by 3:30, she had said she will have other work on the slot before and won't be able to make it. 4 pm is fine to be able to be ready by 6. But on the day of the wedding, she reached at 3:30 , to the venue and THEN called us up to inform. We had to pack things and run to the venue since we had no clue she is reaching earlier. After we got there, she started with my makeup. I informed her I want the eyes to be highlighted since I have big eyes. Showed her ref pics for look I was going for. She recommended I go with this dark smokey eye look so as to keep a balance and not make my eyes look like they're popping out. BUT a smokey eye look is supposed to be soft. This was just plain harsh. I even said kajal doesn't suit me, she insisted being a bride it I required. Okay, blend it out? Nope. It was one fat dark line under my eyes, made me look waaay older and just tired cause in the pictures it looked like eye bags from lack of sleep. No contour on my face. No highlight or blush. She said she used it, but nothing was visible. I looked like I was 2 shades darker but had applied a lighter foundation. Wanted highlighter on my face, dont know what she used, NOTHING was visible. When I did my own makeup for my pre wedding ceremonies, it made my face look radiant. I showed her that picture for reference that what suits and what doesn't. This was just dull. Took her 2 hours for JUST the makeup, after which I had to run through the hair and saree. The whole bun was supposed to be covered in flowers. Didn't have time. I wanted to soften my makeup, didn't have time to do that either. By the time they were done with all of it, it was 6:45 and several guests were waiting downstairs for us. I had told her I needed to be ready by 6. I went and applied lipstick on my cheeks to bring in some kind of blush effect. I was so sad that several people including the photographer came up to me and asked if something was bothering me, because it was evident. Overall, I was super disappointed because for that kind of service fee, you deserve better. My advice to people would be, please go for those whose references you've received from others instead of choosing things based on online reviews.

My first time with a professional MUA and what can I say, she made me fall in love with myself. Her makeup will show you that you are beautiful, just the way you are. Moitreyi is a good makeup artist and the final outcome was impressive. I had booked her for My Russian sister in law's bridal makeup. I have few points to raise which did not go down well with us - 1. Moitreyi was very late. the agreement was to make the bride ready by 6pm plus my hairdo and she arrived at 4.30 pm which resulted in me reaching the venue extremely late. After finishing the makeover she was taking way too much time to wrap up and leave which resulted in more delay. I expected more professionalism. 2. The major issue was unnecessary arguments specially when my sister in law asked her to wash her hands before starting the makeup. She wasted 10 minutes in arguing and convincing us that she had washed her hands before coming, but that was not the point! We didn't see her washing hands and she came in a car. If the client is asking to wash hands, instead of wasting too much words, wouldn't it be easier to simply wash the hands and gain the trust of your client? From that moment on, my sister in law lost all trust on her. 3. Being skilled is one thing and maintaining the right attitude is another and the latter is where I had problem with her. There was too much back n forth with makeup application as my sister in law clearly said that she will not use any external cosmetics other than her own plus she didn't want any heavy makeup too. Even after agreeing to this clause Moitreyi was continuously wasting time in convincing us to use her product else she cannot produce good result. This kind of unprofessionalism is not expected from such expensive makeup artist!

It was a lovely experience for my wife to get decked up by KohlEyes to BerryLips team on her wedding. The best part is, she did not compromise on the makeup quality for the smaller events and made my wife look soothingly beautiful on all the events equally. Moitrei did my makeup and one more lady came with her for hair styling and saari drepping. She came on time started my make up with a good node. She is really nice and well behaved. But on my marriage day she was in too much hurry. She took 3 works in a single evening. Once she started her make up she sent her assistant to another party for hair and saari. By the time She finished my makeup around 1.5 hours, her assistant came and she left. Her assistant started with saari and done hair styling within 30 mins. I wore my ornaments by myself. That day my make up was too dark. Most of the people came for my marriage told that I m looking bit dark than my natural color. Later when I saw my pictures I could see how dark my makeup was. I choose her depending on the reviews as I am not from kolkata so had to believe online comments. Anyway please make sure she gives u enough time for your make up, for her it's the profession but for me it was a life time moment. So please be cautious before choosing your make artist.

I have contacted KEBL while being in Netherlands and booked her for my wedding reception in India. My husband and I got married in Netherlands and wanted to celebrate our happiness with the family in Kolkata. First, I was impressed by the natural but strong looks that KEBL was able to create in her portfolio. I checked a few makeup artists out, but none of the other portfolios appealed to me as hers. Because we were abroad and reaching India just a couple of days before the reception, we did not get the time to arrange a trial makeup. Everything had to be done on the day. Before the event we met and shortly discussed and made a plan of what to expect in terms of makeup, hair, draping. This was a short but efficient communication, so we were set for the day. As you may expect, on the day of the reception time was of the essence. KEBL met us at the hotel where we were staying and the ladies took turn to the makeup table, hair section and dress draping or arranging. The makeup was nicely blended, giving you a contrast of the natural beauty features. The overall look did stand out and created a beautiful look with the dress and jewelry. It did not look or feel heavy, nor cakey. It is important during these events to feel like you are in good hands, and ‘covered’. So KEBL got us covered! My ladies and I felt pampered while also having fun. Of course, there is no better description than a picture :)
