After looking through many artists' portfolios on the WMG app, I narrowed down on Lakshmi as I felt she has nailed the quintessential South Indian bride look. And boy, was I right! I love all things make-up and had so many ideas for my big day(s), but in all the wedding madness, I totally forgot to shortlist make-up looks and hairstyle ideas. I gave Lakshmi a free hand, and she created magic on me every single day! She was on time everytime and made sure that I had the most peaceful, comfortable time while getting ready. She gave me tips to take care of my skin and hair through the weekend and worked tirelessly to ensure I got the looks I wanted! I'd read a few reviews that she is a bit standoffish and proud, but that is not my experience. She is extremely focused and likes to give the bride the peace of mind that she otherwise doesn't get in wedding chaos. I would also like to thank Poornima Akka for being an absolute MAGICIAN with my hair and draping! She's the sweetest and has excellent attention to detail. I wish I can rate even less.. everytime I look at pics and remember the day I get disappointed for choosing her. she never talk to you on your needs gives a celebratee entry to the wedding hall and spend her quality time on phone while on work.she failed to plan on my looks and totally screwed my reception look. As a artist she fails to understand what suits the bride and what doesn't. please don't go by her insta handle and decide on her, you just lose your day and money.

I hired this lady who was so called a celebrity make up artist looking at her Instagram profile which was filled with edited pics, to get a makeover for my wedding. by the Time I had realized it was too late, that was the biggest mistake I have ever made and will regret forever. she charged 40k for 2 events which actually deserved not even a penny. To start wit, she is highly unprofessional with full of ego and attitude. after I booked her for my wedding of about 4 months in advance, I had to literally beg her to meet me and decide on my wedding look. after great difficulty she agreed to meet me 3days before my wedding! which was of no help. coming to "the day" make-up she was the worst I could have. she walks in like a celebrity, always on calls, not willing to talk to anyone. she was even rude to a 4yr old kid when she tried talking to her and asked to send that kid outside. makeup was so cakcky and dark, she doesn't know basics of contouring and lining the lips or rather she felt 40k wasn't good enough for contouring the face or even a proper lip shaping. she asked me to close my eyes throughout the make-up, did the ghosty make-up and left while I was still wit closed eyes where you don't get to see what crap she has done.. you don't get a chance to even say her what shitty job she has done. she keeps the eyelashes to the end so that u had a closed eyes while she is leaving.. she hardly spends 20 to 30 min on the make-up for which she charges 40k. the next day when I asked her about caky Makeup she blamed it on my skin and light and weather and what not. she doesn't wait Even for 10 min if ur busy with any rituals, she just fleas the scene. out of that fear couldn't even tell her how shitty her make up was. overall it was a terrible experience. I RECOMMEND NOT TO HIRE HER ON YOU BIG DAY AND RUIN THE BEAUTIFUL MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE..
