I learnt about Preethika Jain from one of my friends. When I went to Preethika for my trial, she gave me small, but useful tips like eating a carrot, using a face mask a week before the events and use of eye patches to keep my eyes relaxed. These tips proved to be very useful for me 😊. In some of her bridal packages, she had mentioned that a lymphatic massage would be given for relaxation before the actual makeup was done. This was something, I noticed not every makeup artist offered and that along with my first meet with Preethika, who put me to complete ease with her easy going caring personality ,helped me to choose her as my makeup artist. When I had first approached her for a trial, I was clear that I needed a soft, nude, no makeup makeup look, minimal, glowy and subtle makeup for my sangeet, reception and muhurta. During my first trial, she gave me the look that I had in my mind. This look would be the sort of look that I would be given for my muhurta. I approached her again, this time for a hair and makeup trial. For my second trial, she gave me a bolder look, that would be suitable for my reception. Sonali, the hair stylist gave me a good idea of the hair style that would be suitable for my muhurta. I could spot the difference between my first and second makeup trial looks. Both gave me the confidence of the looks I would have for my various events, which further built my trust in her work. On the day of the sangeet, before the actual makeup, Preethika pepped up the atmosphere by turning on some good music and massaged my entire face, which was very relaxing. I wanted a look that would deliver my face its natural pink tone. My hairstyle was a high pony decked with some ornaments around, just the way I had requested. She and Sonali, gave me the perfect barbie look which my fiance wanted. For the reception, she gave me this bold yet elegant look with the smokey eyes. The hairstyle, went perfectly with my makeup. My hair was left open with soft waves. For the muhurta, Preethika gave me this minimal, natural yet beautiful traditional look. The traditional maharashtrian khopa hairstyle went well with my attire and since it was a day event, this minimal makeup made my face get the soft, coy look.

Preethika is such an amazing make up artist. I honestly don't know where to begin - from accessorizing, to discussing the complete look in advance, to being very prompt in her responses, to ensuring you are relaxed when you sit down for your make up, to paying attention to every detail of the look be it the eye make up, the lip color, the lens color, the hairdo, the hair accessories, the draping, and even a bindi! (I never knew how a bindi can make so much difference in the whole look). There is absolutely not a detail missed by her.
