Makeup Artistry by Kanak

We had booked Kanak for party makeup for my wedding functions on 11th and 12th November 2025, specifically for the groom’s side. Kanak herself did the makeup on 11th November for the engagement and was very professional. She did a wonderful job and we were very happy with the results. However, on 12th November (the wedding day), she sent another artist in her place without informing us beforehand. Unfortunately, the experience that day was very disappointing. The hair and makeup done for my sister-in-law and mother-in-law were poorly executed and did not meet expectations for such an important occasion. What made the situation worse was that the artist seemed least concerned about correcting the issues and had a very casual attitude despite the dissatisfaction. This ended up affecting what should have been one of the most exciting days for them. Our experience was great when Kanak was personally doing the makeup, but it turned into a very unpleasant one when another artist was sent without prior notice.

Extremely unprofessional. She was always unavailable to take calls after making the advance payment. Even on the two days of the event she turned up 2 hrs late and was not answering the phone. Didn't discuss the makeup look prior to executing. She has her own standards of beauty and will try to force that on you. For me she pushed me to have my upper lips over drawn with lipstick, whereas I was perfectly happy with my thin lips. She might be good with her hands but she is the epitome of unprofessionalism and will keep you on tentherhooks on your D day. Added bonus, she edited the video review that i recorded for her and kept out the parts where I had highlighted her unprofessionalism. Didnt have the basic decency of sharing the pics that she took of me with her own mobile phone despite following up repeatedly

I would like to give Kanak makeup artist a 5 star . I am very happy with the beauty packages and the services provided by them. Recently i booked makeup from her for 2 marriages and she did an excellent work (Kanak did a mind blowing job and other staff members too, sorry forgot their names ;-) , loved their hairstyles. Must say the staff is of such great help. Personally i would recommend her for the beauty packages and makeovers. Kanak is a really nice person and would give genuine advice to all. Thank you

My bridal makeup was an experience in itself. And I must say, an amazing one for sure. To begin with, months before the wedding, when I had just finalized Kanak for my bridal makeup we met and she was like my next best friend who was preparing me for my Big Day :) She gave me a lot of tips and tricks to prep my skin for the special day and also recommended products and suggested ways to improve and maintain my skin. On the day of the marriage, they setup their decked-up workstation and turned the hotel room into a beauty salon. They were all really good together. The whole process of "bridal makeup" for me was wonderful. I had talked to Kanak about how I love natural looks and subtle makeup, also shared my past bad makeup experience :P due to which I had nightmares!! And I must say, the whole team did an amazing job - both the hair and the makeup came out beautifully well. There was a smooth texture and a soft glow. Also, I had to travel to Bhubaneshwar from Delhi the next day after my Vidai the makeup stayed well even after 18+ hours of makeup.
