I hired Komal for my brother’s wedding functions and it was the best decision. She is extremely professional and very humble. She uses high end products and made my makeup and skin look flawless. I got so many compliments for all my looks. Can’t thank her enough for making me look the best version of myself. Also special thanks to her Hairartist Nayana who did a wonderful job. I met komal by surfing through Instagram and booked her for my brother’s wedding. She’s an absolute doll to work with very patient and the absolute best makeup artist i’ve come across❤️

Please read below review carefully if even the thought of shortlisting Komal Hire and her team especially her hairstylist Saba Patel as your makeup and hair artist crosses your mind for your engagement/wedding/sangeet/haldi or any other special event. 1. I had booked Komal and her team for makeup and hair for my wedding (27th November 2022) including my mother’s makeup and hair too. 2. Like every bride even I aspired for perfect makeup and hair and wished my function goes smoothly as per schedule, but those dreams were shattered the day I booked Komal Hire and her team and Saba Patel (Hair artist). 3. Komal's studio is in Vikhroli and I reside in Kandivali. I travelled +3hrs to her studio personally to explain her my requirements/shared her reference images of how I want my hair and makeup to be/well informed her to reach my home at 5.45am and communicated my ready time which was 8.30 am and most importantly told her to abide by the promised time. She promised moons and stars by saying bride can be late but I am never late/ I reach xyz location on promised time and she further assured me to be there before call time. LIES! 5. Subsequently I messaged her my address/shared my location and again communicated my ready time well in advance. (Screenshot of whatsapp chat attached herewith) 6. But to my surprise she again asked for my address just a day before wedding and informed me she’ll come by 6.30am which was past 45mins from initial promised time of 5.45am. 7. I immediately called Komal and requested her to stick to the promised time of 5.45am which went unheard and she was adamant enough to say that since she has great speed, she’ll be able to manage. Soon my requests were bent down to pleading and begging business to her to reach at 5.45am since I was less than 24hrs away from my big day! (Screenshot of whatsapp chat attached herewith) 8. The horror does not end here! She informed me just couple of hours before wedding day that she has changed the hair artist which was previously agreed upon and now Saba Patel will be doing my hair. Further Komal informed that Saba will have to rush to Lonavala at 8am for a destination wedding bride. I raised my concerns to Komal that Saba should not rush my hair and lehenga draping just because she has to leave early to Lonavala. She assured me she is the best and that she’s fit for the job. (Screenshot of whatsapp chat attached herewith) 9. On 27th November morning, Komal reached around 6.30am and Saba Patel (hair artist) around 7.15-7.30am. 10. Komal’s makeup was extremely mediocre vs the price she charges for her services. Her lipstick was so chappy and sticky because of which I could not lipsync my entry song properly. Since she came late, she just rushed through makeup of me and my mother’s. 11. Saba Patel (Hair artist) and her son who assisted her for hair and draping - where do I even begin my sheer disappointment and misery! 12. She and her son reached my home around 7.15-7.30am. EXTREMELY SHABBY in her work. She just rushed through my hair and draping like anything. Used huge safety pins for quick draping which were clearly visible. Her son was continuously on his mobile phone and did not assist her much. I don’t know which cheap hair spray she used – hair came flying off immediately, hair pins were falling off which made my hair look so shabby and undone. My friends had to continuously fix my hair and makeup. (photos attached below) 13. Seems like Komal didn’t even bother to share the reference images with Saba which I put in soo much effort to research. I was constantly giving instructions to Saba/was showing her reference images on my wedding day but still she was not able to fulfil my requirements. When I saw my hair – it was nowhere near the reference images which I shared with Komal. It was nowhere near how I envisaged my hair to be on my wedding day. The awkwardly placed flowers in my hair almost got me in tears on my big day! Saba just rushed through everything and got done with hair and draping of me and my mother’s in 30-35mins and just left for Lonavala. The second duppata over my head was pinned/draped so carelessly it almost came out, I constantly feared if it would fall off on stage. (photos attached below) 14. With respect to my mother – Komal and Saba repeated the same thing. Extremely mediocre efforts to make bride’s mother look different and elegant. 15. Just because Saba had to leave quickly to Lonavala – She did not allow photographers to click shots of my outfit/footwear etc. Since entire schedule was delayed by almost an hour because Komal and Saba came late – I had to compromise on my solo photos and portraits with my family. My phera time was delayed by one hour and entire event schedule went haywire. I left home only at 10.10am which was criminally way after the scheduled time. (photos attached below) 16. Komal was extremely dumb in her planning. She charged me hefty amount of money in which she claimed she’ll get her assistant – but she did my makeup alone and did not bring along any assistant to help her. Further hair extension and colored contact lenses were not provided by her though same was included in her charges. 17. Further she had promised hair and makeup for one of my bridesmaid for which allotment of different assistants were to be done. Apparently, she used my makeup and hair artist for bridesmaid and kept me and my mother hanging high and dry on my big day. 18. After wedding I shared my feedback and expressed my disappointment to Komal. Not even once she apologized for being late or ruining my day. Infact she put me in the spot by making comments like you could have told me, we could have changed the look blah blah! If only Komal and Saba knew damage was already done and because they were an hour late, there was no time for any change or repair. 19. Komal Hire and Saba Patel - extremely poor work ethic. Not sticking to promised timeline and being late by an hour and rushing through hair and makeup is unacceptable. Note to future brides - if you want to ruin your big day then please go ahead and book Komal Hire and her team for makeup and Saba Patel for hair and draping. P.S – Komal Hire and Saba Patel you guys should return my money since your hefty quote is nowhere near the services you provide, and you guys really do not do any justice to the same.

On my sangeeth day i gave komal the wrong address by the time i realised it i was very late. Komal remained calm and did her magic Komal made me look like an absolute princess. She is extremely patient and has a lot of presence of mind. This is a formula to a calm bride with hectic schedule. Btw a lot of people loved my sangeet look the best..
