My makeup artist was recommended by Wendell Rodricks and I didn't need to think twice before hiring her. She also really pushed me to use airbrush makeup which was so awesome. It was lightweight, sweat proof and totally worth the extra money.

I took a trial from Simran and she was just amazing during the trial. I was so positive about having her as my MUA. But all of the changed once I saw the end result of my Bridal Makeup. She used a Chanel base on one half of my face during my trials and indicated how if she gave more coverage using Krylon, it would look cakey. On the day of the wedding, most of the base makeup was done using Krylon. The makeup cracked along my laugh lines within half an hour, while I was comfortably sitting in my hotel room. The lipstick bled and the nailpaint smudged, I could have lived with all of this. But the hairstyle she chose for me, ruined my whole look. I have less hair in the front and during the trials she assured me that she would handle this. However, her attitude during the wedding day was very different. I repeatedly told her that i didnt like my hair(very flat) and that it was not what we discussed. But she did not do anything about it and was adamant that this was the best she could do. Everyone who saw me that day and saw my pictures has commented that for 25,000 (+2000 trial) that is a really bad hairstyle. I wish I had spent a little extra and gone with tejasvini.

I first saw Simran's work when she did my friend's bridal make up 2 years back and have been following her work on Instagram since then. I have experienced the work of 3 make-up artists so far and Simran is by far the best! She did my wedding make up (glad I saved her for the main event). I was having a breakout during my wedding so it was definitely a challenge to work with that. She used just the right amount of make-up and it remained intact till the end. I just didn't have to stress with her which was the main thing for a bride to have her make up sorted and with her it was :-) . So being an artist my self all I can say she is a perfectionist which is a best quality I love about her . I will and keep giving her reference to all the girls gonna or getting married . Keep it up Simran . And soon will do another round of make up :-)

I planned my Delhi wedding sitting oversees, since didn?t have much store hopping to do, I had all the time in the world to scout for a makeup artist, . I started my search at least 11 months prior to the wedding date :D and left no stone unturned to find 'The Right' makeup artist. My photographer threw few options (including Simran), but still the Curious Mary I am and the time I had, I went through 2 dozen profiles, and thousands of testimonial photographs. Of course, I was confused. The first time I texted Simran, she was very responsive and humble, enough for me to proceed with my Pros and Cons analysis--- So i made a list, Pros- 1. She had outstanding reviews online and was featured in best bridal makeup artists in Delhi listings. 2. Since I didn?t have the luxury of going for a trial, I based my search significantly on their bridal photographs and isn't that what we want, look fab in pics??? And holy camoly, her brides do look ravishing!!! What I loved the most was that all of her brides looked naturally beautiful and completely different from one another. They all looked the 'Prettiest version of THEMSELVES'- Something that was Very Imp to me. 3. She was charging half of what the other name brands were asking. 4. She was recommended by my photographer Tarun Chawla (a maestro himself), so he couldn?t blame my makeup for bad photographs (just in case):D 5. She was offering to do my makeup at her home. So I had the assurance that she will give me the time I deserve and wouldn?t be in any rush. I was very stubborn on not wanting to go to even the best makeup parlor in Delhi because I was getting married on the busiest day of December and worried that artists will not even have time to listen to what I wanted or change my makeup if I didn?t like something. Cons- 1. She was not coming to the venue for the makeup, my initial preference but somehow her place was not far from where I was getting married. I guess this doesn?t count as a con then... Now If I recommend her. I would say ditch the pointers above, one reason you should go to her, she will make you look just like you had imagined. I absolutely loved her makeup and always thank her in my head when I look at my wedding pics. I got so many complements on my makeup (especially my eye makeup which I consider my best feature) and her makeup didn?t budge even until after the pheras. I got many inquiries for the makeup artist from the guests and now my sister is also getting her bridal makeup done from her. Sign her up and thank me later :-)

Simran Kalra is the most talented Make-up artist I know. She knows exactly what the right shades are for your skin whether it is concealing or contouring. She transformed my face and used the shades that would completely suit my skin tone. I loved how refined I looked at my wedding all thanks to her. She makes you look so natural. I recommended her to 2 of my other friends who were getting married and they were equally pleased by her. I would not go by with anyone else for my make-up.

Being a Kerala bride and getting married to a Punjabi- in a traditional Kerala-style day wedding in Delhi was, as you can imagine, full of apprehensions- and getting the bridal look right was the biggest concern. Simran made this possible to an extent that I still get praises for how I looked at my wedding. I wanted a not-too-cakey natural look- which she ensured. The make-up was perfect for the bright winter afternoon with bold lips and very soft smoky eyes- complete with hair adorned with jasmines and jewellery stitched on to my cream and gold saree (which btw she did as well). So- not only was the make-up exactly as I had wanted, Simran also ensured that I get the entire look while also maintaining my stress levels! She also did my make-up for the Mehndi (bright eyes-subtle lips) and the Cocktail (smoky eyes, bright lips and face). She is open to listening to what you want which is also great. Would certainly recommend her if you want a natural yet perfectly refined look for your big day!

Simran Kalra was recommended to me by a friend for my bridal make up. I was really happy that I looked very natural and not made up at all. She understood exactly what i wanted and kept my look very natural. I highly recommend her to every bride. My sisters and me were very happy and received a lot of compliments on our natural make up :).. Thanks a ton Simran.

I first met Simran for my sister's wedding. She made sure each of us had a different look for wedding functions and looked our best. She knows what would would for your face and what would not. Since then for every wedding she made us( my mom, sister and me)look our best within the comfort of our home.I highly recommend her to every bride who wants to look most dazzling on their special day.

<p>Simran was very clear about whated to do. She gave me smokey eyes and nude lips which everyone said looked fab on me and I have honestly never tried them before, but after the look I am convinced I need to have smokey eyes for atleast one event .</p>

<p>I finalized my wedding make up artist on a friend's recommendation as I didn't have enough time to get a trial make up and hairdo sessions done. I can't begin to tell how satisfied I was with her services. I reached late to her place against the booked time on both the days, like every other bride, after a long series of day events. I had a deadline by which I had to get ready and leave her place, but despite the time crunch, she got me ready in-time on both the days of sangeet and wedding. And the best thing? I couldn't have been happier with the make up. She made me look my best with very subtle colors and keeping it all minimal. She is absolutely talented, a perfectionist, doesn't over-do, very professional and extremely efficient, does everything right the first time. I would recommend her over and over again to everyone who is feeling lost amongst the plethora of options available.</p>
