My holidays may have ended, but the disappointment and frustration from the makeup service linger, prompting me to bring this to the attention of the public. In what can only be described as a shocking display of unprofessionalism and a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction, Nikita opted to send another artist in her place without any prior notice. The revelation of this switch occurred a mere hour before the scheduled makeup session, leaving me stunned and questioning the integrity of her business practices. Nikita's decision to operate in such a manner reeks of intentional malpractice. Transparency, a fundamental aspect of professionalism, was completely absent in this situation. The deliberate attempt to withhold crucial information until the last minute is not just unprofessional but a clear effort to deceive clients. It is essential to clarify that the artist who took Nikita's place is not to blame for the subpar service rendered. Instead, it reflects Nikita's complete lack of integrity and honesty. I invested a significant amount, expecting a service that aligned with her purported expertise. Instead, I found myself at the mercy of inadequate skills that fell far short of the value I paid for. Had I been informed about the change in advance, I would have reconsidered my decision to proceed with the service. Unfortunately, I discovered the deception only after making an advance payment. This lack of transparency is unacceptable and a gross violation of trust. My payment was not an acknowledgment of satisfaction but an act of sympathy for the artist thrust into an unforeseen predicament. Nikita, be forewarned that I refuse to let this act of dishonesty go unnoticed. I reached out to her, and she did not attempt to clarify/respond/ rectify the situation in any way.

Destination weddings are fun until you realise you need hair, makeup and drape artist. In a place like Goa where there are thousands of weddings going on, there is an equal number of artists. Our big fat Indian wedding was in south Goa and we are so glad Nitika was recommended to us. She is easy to communicate and understood right away our personality and style. I don’t feel positive when I remember my makeup on the wedding day. I saw excellent reviews here on WedMeGood and went in for Nitika and her team. For the wedding she arrived with one under-experienced team member. There was no trial offered, so I completely trusted Nitika. She called me a day before the wedding and had shared some pictures for references(many days before) but seemed to have zero idea of what a Shetty bride look should be. After charging quite a lot, she offered no hair accessories so WE made sure we got good flowers for my hair and one hair accessory. In short she only offers below average makeup look and saree draping. I had 2 saree looks and on the day of the wedding her assistant kept complaining about the make of my 2nd saree (the major wedding day saree) and didn’t iron the pleats before draping it perfectly in place as asked. (You know how important draping the saree is especially if it’s a Kanjeevaram) .Given the fact that the saree was quite expensive, lined with true gold zari completely, she had no idea how a true Kanjeevaram feels. Me and my mom both went in for her, and on the wedding day mom’s hair came out in 35 mins. I had a single plait of hair with only flowers that I got, a hairstyle any average makeup artist could achieve. I asked for sharp eyes but she went in for a Smokey eye and large eyelashes which later the photographer said didn’t look good even in edited photos. All in all I kept myself sane, completely trusted Nitika and enjoyed my wedding day since makeup is only one part of it, and I am confident regardless of makeup. Cut to the reception, there were no hair accessories so my hair looked great and my makeup, as well as my mom’s makeup was good, after we gave Nitika all the feedback from wedding day. So yes she does listen to feedback at some point. On the reception day (a day after the wedding) several people asked me if I had changed my makeup artist after the wedding day, since the makeup was a great improvement. Many people politely said this looks much much better and different so I give her a 1 star review. When I say this it hurts me because I have not given a negative review before, but your wedding day makeup is truly important dear brides! This day was a result of blind trust, I was late by 35 mins and high expectations by me, so yes I do blame myself.

I see people giving her five stars but I had hired her for my bridal makeup n my Mom’s and sister’s makeup n hair. And none of us liked her work my sister’s and my Mom absolutely hated her work. Rest the base that she used was not good at all neither did she conceal any blemishes or marks. I felt my skin looked patchy and uneven. I loved being made-up like a princess.Her bubbly personality and caring nature is something that I can vouch for.She is absolutely wonderful and has an amazing talent for what she does!
