I had booked her for party makeup services in December for my sister’s wedding and paid an advance of ₹2000 to confirm the booking. Everything was discussed and finalized well in advance. However, just two days before the event, she informed me that she couldn’t arrange a hairstylist due to a medical reason. At that point, instead of taking responsibility and managing her team arrangements, she asked if I would be willing to pay extra for a more “expensive” hairstylist. When I asked how much the additional charges would be, she did not provide any clarity. Instead of giving proper details or trying to professionally resolve the situation, she immediately refunded the ₹2000 advance and backed out of the booking entirely. While I appreciate that the advance was refunded, cancelling just two days before a major event is extremely stressful and unprofessional. Makeup and hairstyling for important occasions are not last-minute arrangements, especially during busy seasons. Backing out at the last moment shows poor planning and lack of commitment. If you are booking her for an important event, please be cautious and have a backup plan.
