I got her reference from a very close friend and I liked her work, hence I booked her six months plus in advance before the wedding. I paid the advance as well. One week before the wedding, I get a call late in the night from her Manager saying that Nikki cannot make it as her prior client is based in Thailand and that client is not arranging for a ticket back to India before the date of my function. You can imagine the condition of the bride who is anyway going through a lot stress and getting the shocker one week before the wedding that too through her manager is extremely unprofessional. I asked her manager to put me in touch with Nikki directly. Nikki sent a few messages saying that she is in poor network, but it was very clear that she wouldn’t be able to make it on the wedding day. She offered to get some other MUA. But I had booked her and not some other MUA.No amount of apology would help because we had to figure out a good make-up artist for the wedding day one week prior to the date. She displayed an extremely unprofessional behaviour. The most basic thing one expects from the MUA is that they make it on time to the event. The work could be good or bad and that you can still blame yourself because you chose them. But for them to not come at all and informing this one week prior to the wedding day is not done. She put our entire family into a lot of stress. I will not recommend Nikki Shah makeovers.

Over an hour late to my wedding makeup. I had to start before she arrived so I didn’t miss my First Look photo shoot. Not professional at all. Poor communicator. No prior planning or effort made to be organised. My hair and makeup were not as high quality as expected for extraordinarily high prices. Overall extremely stressed and disappointed. Would not choose again.

She is very professional and such a talented makeup artist. I loved the makeup done by her on my special day. The only issue I faced was that she was less responsible about the assigned work.
