You become a bride only once in your life, and unfortunately my experience with Nishtha Bhandari as my makeup artist was deeply disappointing and emotionally distressing. Indian weddings naturally run late due to multiple rituals and traditions—this is something every professional bridal makeup artist is aware of. Instead of being understanding and supportive, she added unnecessary stress to an already emotional day. Over a slight delay, she created a scene, openly threatened to leave the wedding without completing my makeup, and made my mother cry by telling everyone she would walk out. This happened just moments before my bridal entry, creating panic and chaos. What shocked me most was the lack of professionalism. Her justification was that she was on her periods and having mood swings. While personal discomfort is understandable, it can never justify unprofessional behavior—especially on a bride’s most important day. Being a celebrity makeup artist does not justify arrogance or a lack of empathy. After everyone around me had to repeatedly calm and please her, she completed my makeup and draping in barely an hour. Bridal makeup typically takes 2.5–3 hours, and the rushed work clearly reflected in the outcome. Within two hours, my makeup had faded, my dark circles became visible, and even a single tear caused my kajal to smudge badly. As a bride, you should feel confident and beautiful—not worried about your makeup falling apart. In 2023, paying ₹30000 for bridal makeup was not an average amount, and the quality of service and final result did not justify the price at all. This experience affected me deeply. A bride is extremely emotional on her wedding day, and instead of feeling supported, I was left anxious and hurt. She may forget me, as she works with many brides—but I will remember this experience for life. This was not just poor service; it was a memory that negatively marked one of the most important days of my life. My sincere advice to future brides: Please have detailed conversations with your makeup artist in advance. Ensure they do not take multiple bookings on your wedding day. Most importantly, choose someone who is calm, empathetic, and kind—A celebrity tag means nothing if basic professionalism and compassion are missing. Because on your big day, you need peace, not pressure.

We’ve booked her for our immediate family and she did really good job, she was punctual, quick and so so good at her work. Would definitely recommend her for my would be wife. Thanks Nishtha 😊

If there’s anything coming up in the family there is no one else apart from Nishtha, her work is exceptionally good and her behaviour was very polite all through the events.
