Royal Weddings & Events Goa

Extremely unprofessional, rude, and shocking experience — would strongly advise avoiding Royal Weddings Goa. We hired Royal Weddings for my brother’s wedding in Goa in November, and our experience from start to finish was the worst we could have imagined. Our points of contact were Marissa and Akanksha Khamb, and unfortunately, their behaviour and service left us and our guests deeply disappointed. The Sangeet stage was dangerously unstable — built on a slope, shaking constantly, and clearly unsafe for more than a handful of people. When we raised concerns, instead of fixing it, the team was rude, dismissive, and disrespectful, even towards our elderly parents. Many guests pointed out how unsafe the setup looked. But the most unacceptable part: right before the Sangeet function began, they demanded full payment and threatened to shut down the genset if we didn’t immediately comply. I was literally asked to go back to my room and get cash while I was about to enter the event. This level of intimidation was shocking. I had to involve Taj staff and send a voice note promising payment after the event just so they wouldn’t disrupt the ceremony. The moment the function ended, they again insisted I bring the payment before I could even have dinner. This rude, coercive, and unprofessional behaviour continued during the Haldi and wedding as well. There were many other issues too, but they feel minor in front of the fact that a wedding planner threatened to shut down our family’s function during the event. For the price and promises they make, Royal Weddings delivered nothing close to professionalism or safety. Strongly do NOT recommend.

A big shoutout to the team at The Royal Weddings for sourcing and executing a dreamy and complex decor design for all the events at our wedding at Westin Goa! The Decor was executed with great finesse and the fact they could happily accommodate the tight budget was commendable!

Royal weddings did a fantastic job coordinating all the details and keeping things in tracks. Marissa, the planner was very professional and attentive to our needs. They were quick to respond and managed most of the tasks well. We loved the creative ideas that the planner brought to the table, and the organisation was solid. The team, specially Akansha was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. There were a couple of minor hiccups, but overall, the execution was smooth and our guests had a wonderful time. From the very beginning, you know how to close a deal. Your quote is crips, transparent and reasonable and the better side is you deliver as promised. Though we were involved in small things, your team takes care of almost everything.As a feedback, the guest hospitality can get better. The decor and arrangements are top notch. Royal weddings did a great job for our wedding! We did most of the discussions online and they made that very easy. The execution at the events was brilliant with all of the decor looking great! They were great with all of the main big bits. They’re more on the decorator side than planners as a lot of the details and logistics we did ourselves prior to the wedding but on the days, they delivered and made it very easy for us and our families.
