I have known the photography duo Jhalak and Ashwin of Shades photography for years together. I have always adored their aesthetics and their careful editing process. Their team did a great job in capturing intimate moments at my wedding ceremony and made it seem so seamless. The photos do the talking and I can’t help but browse through them once every few days.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND SHADES Only one word to describe SHADES is OUTSTANDING . from the day we first spoke it was a smooth ride with these two , ashwin and jhalak . very down to earth and approachable couple with excellent skills. after having a worst experience with JOSEPH RADHIKs useless and worthless team , SHADES was such a pleasure to have them around. no demands unlike joseph and his worthless team , who ask for stays nothing less than 5 star hotels and their photography is not even worth a single star. but with shades , we had a very pleasant experience and the whole output was splendid. looking forward to hiring them again for future occasions.

I would not recommend Shades photography to anybody. First of all, they are way too expensive. I regret paying lakhs for their services because it wasn't upto the mark. They didn't capture everything from the wedding and the couple shots aren't great either. It's the same boring poses from different angles. 20 pics are taken of the same pose from different angles and that's what they will send you. NOTHING new and extraordinary! I saw their instagram page and realized later that they only put 1 or 2 good pics of every couple and that's it because that's all you will get and they keep posting the same pics over and over again. They don't take pictures of your family or relatives or anything else that's going on at the wedding. I am not at all happy with their services. I expected better work. Be ready to wait 5-6 months to get your wedding stuff and don't expect anything great and different. Inexperienced photographer would have done better work.

Just looooove Shades!!!! Ashwin and Jhalak covered my wedding, and I couldn't have asked for anything better. I came through their Instagram page, and was blown away with the way they capture moments, specially the colors which Shades use in their photographs is what sets them apart. Not only they both are professional when it comes to work but they are as friendly as one could ask for!!! We had an intimate wedding in Thailand, and Ashwin and Jhalak were there, not as a vendor but they were like a family to us. No silly poses, no wastage of time, made me and fiance so comfortable with each other. Me and my whole family loooved the photographs...!!!

The best experience we had with Ashwin and his team. We booked Shades a year ago from our wedding. The first thing we did when our wedding dates came was to block Ashwin. My friends could'nt stop raving about their work and the positive attitude they keep while shooting a wedding. And the photographs, in love with each and every one. Ashwin didn't only shoot my wedding, but he was the one who helped me in finding so many vendors, for which I can't thank him enough. He's so welcoming and warm, which I don't see in many wedding photographers now days. From the day Shades team reached the venue, to the time everyone checked out, they made sure that each and everything was covered. And of course how can I forget about the pre-wedding shoot! The love which Ashwin takes out from a couple and show it through his camera is worth appreciating. I don't regret spending a single penny spend on my photographers.

Absolutely treat to work with Ashwin and Jhalak. We had a palace wedding in Udaipur, and Ashwin and his team were always on their toes to make our wedding memorable. Ashwin is the most humble person I have come across. His aesthetics and photography sense is to die for. I personally belong to the creative industry and when I was jotting down the vendors for my wedding, Shades was the first name that came to my mind. Clearly one of the best wedding photographers in India, truly worth​ the money.

Absolutely unprofessional and unpleasant experience. Keep searching for a good one. Out of this photographer couple, Zhalak is a good photographer and a humble person. Her husband Ashwin needs to learn a lot from her. He ruined the prewedding photoshoot day for us. He does the photoshoot to make his insta profile better and not for making your day special. If you observe their insta profile carefully, you will see that they have same editing filters and same poses. He claims that he will take your candid pictures and he will edit pictures in such a way that you will look thin and beautiful. Please do not believe it like I did. He applied exact same filter for half of my photos and ruined the beautiful blue color of lake in the background. He has used same filter for his Kashmir photos. He did not ask us which pictures we liked / want edited. He chose random pics and edited them. We asked him for all unprocessed photos and realized that there are good pics clicked by zhalak which he did not edit. Not sure why he did not edit any of his wife's clicks which we liked. And beware: he gossips! He has told me gossip about all his texas, new york and indian clients and their relatives. And I am sure that he will gossip about us too. He does not know how to work in different light conditions. He does not know how to edit pictures in such a way that people look beautiful. He is not very energetic. He was not ready to do shoots in all conditions, his wife was ready for the shoot. He kept on giving reasons - its too sunny, its too windy, too foggy - his wife was ready to take pictures but he did not let her. At the end he clicked our photos in shadow of tree which looks weird because there is weird tree shadows on our faces - he did not tell us that while shooting and did not even fix the shadow in photoshop - its easy to fix it. When we said that we did not like the edits, he was not ready to make us happy by redoing the edits of photos we liked. I have ruined my special day because of him. I hope you do not do the same mistake.

I think out of all the vendors I selected for my wedding and all the expenses we had to make, this one was so truly worth it. Ashwin and Jhalak capture everything so beautifully and have given me pictures I would fondly look at for all my life. I would strongly recommend everyone to not think twice before picking them up as their wedding photographer.
