As dramatic as this sounds, two phone calls made my mom and I take a sigh of relief. The first one was the phone call with Shikha. The minute we decided we were preponing the wedding I called up shikha and told her the situation.So once the date was confirmed she said that she will make arrangements and leave right away and meet us at the venue. It was a 2.5 hour drive for her and she had to reach before the curfew. There was no second guessing. She said that she will be there. It was the one thing that we were sure of at that point because the alternative was for me to do my own makeup and I didn’t even want to think about it! Just like she promised she reached there along with us. She asked me all the details and asked me when I had to be ready. The next day we started at it early morning. I had three outfit changes and she filled me up beautifully. I had told her that I did not wear makeup unless it was for some wedding function and I always preferred the lightest makeup. I told her that I wouldn’t prefer cakey makeup. She paid heed to all my recommendations and she did such an amazing job. A different hairdo for each sari. And the ornaments arranged so beautifully. One of the best makeup artists I’ve ever come across. I got her reference through a friend and I scheduled a trial. For a bride, wedding preparations are already quite stressful but Shikha di made me feel so comfortable. I loved all my looks during each and every function. But Shikha did her makeup and hairstyle in the available time and utilized all her best skills to make me gorgeous. It was above my expectations. Shikha was damn professional, she did not stopp until she finished my grooming. It was really a good day. My wedding was going to happen in the month of April, 2021 in Udaipur which got postponed due to the Pandemic. We had to shift the wedding to mumbai and I was skeptical of calling Shikha all the way from Udaipur to Mumbai. Thank goodness I did! It was the best decision ever! Her work is flawless!!!! I would recommend Shikha to anyone with my eyes closed. I booked shikha for 4 events during my wedding which included 4 different looks. She pulled off all the looks with extreme ease and class. I had problematic skin with acne and scars but they made my skin look very natural and flawless. The make-up lasted hours including in front of the fire during my wedding ritual and managed to look natural and neat in all the pictures. I had a great experience working with Shikha. After talking to at-least 10 make up artists to help me for my big day, I happened to stumble upon Shikha’s Bridal make up pictures and I instantly knew I had to go with her. I had her booked for my engagement and wedding, that were on consecutive days. Shikha was quite cooperative and she suggested the make up package in the range I was looking for, considering the tight schedule we had to follow. When I had gone for the trial, she gave me a few tips on how to get my face ready for the make up since it’s extra sensitive, and I’m not used to putting a lot of it, and her suggestions definitely helped! The team was extra cautious because of the pandemic and I was informed in prior to carry my own fake eye lashes and lipstick shade to make sure all of us stay safe.
