I stay in Delhi and have no idea about the make up artists in Jammu. So, I did a little research and found Sonia on Instagram. As I am not a make- up lover, I had a lot of doubts and questions regarding the wedding look. Sonia was a patient listener and helped me decide the look for my wedding ( Lehenga, jewellery, accessories and so on so forth! ) If you are working with Sonia, you don’t have to worry about anything! She simple sees you as her own family and will ensure that you get the exact look that you are wishing for! PROS and CONS of choosing Sonia Sandhu as your bridal make-up artist: PROS: 1. She is a thorough professional and makes use of top class products that will give you a finished look. I have a sensitive skin and I was worried about waking up with a red skin post wedding. My skin showed no reaction due to the top quality products used by her. 2. Your wedding lehenga can make or break your look. Sonia gave inputs in lehenga stitching and blouse design which ensured that both of us were on the same page. This helped us avoid any last minute confusion. 3. She will help you pick the best jewellery for your lehenga. ( I was not happy with the jewellery available in my area. She arranged the accessories for me that complimented my look). 4. Mine was a lockdown wedding! Sonia took all the necessary precautions ( mask, gloves, etc. ) and came all the way from Jammu to Akhnoor. This helped me perform other marriage rituals calmly at home as I didn’t need to travel all the way to a parlour. It’s difficult to find a good make- up artist, especially in Jammu, who will take the pain to come to your place and provide an exceptional service. Sonia DOES that! 5. She values human connections - My wedding date was 26th April 2020, but had to be postponed due to lockdown. Sonia stayed in touch and kept asking about my well being as I was stuck in Delhi. I somehow managed to come back to Jammu and the wedding took place on 16 June 2020. Obviously, there was no question of choosing another make- up artist. 6. Once your wedding look is created, she will ask you if you want any changes or improvements. She leaves a room for improvement only for your sake as it’s not easy for a make up artist to redo your look. I didn’t want any changes! I was on cloud nine! :) 7. Last but not the least, Sonia worships her work and that reflects in the pictures. You can succeed in your career only if you give your heart and soul to your work. Sonia has that level of passion and I wish her all the best for her future endeavours. She undoubtedly deserves the top slot in the make- up game. CONS: I couldn’t find any! I trusted her and she didn’t disappoint! :)
