I booked her for my wedding makeover and I had a terrible experience with her. She is a scamster.. she sent her junior or senior makeup artist without informing. The makeup was not good.. she posts other's work as her on social media platform. I had asked her for airbrush makeup which her artist didn't do and charged for airbrush. Very very bad experience

She is a cheat!!!!!! On my wedding day, someone else showed up even though i booked airbrush from her. She never bothered to intimate me that it would be someone else coming even the night before when i was discussing timing with her. This other person was constantly cribbing as there was another MUA for my friends, and did very average makeup and called it airbrush. She also didn very bad eyebrow filling which I myself had to correct. She didn't use any airbrush equipment but kept saying it was airbrush and took the airbrush amount from me. She didn't secure any of my jewellery with glue-drops nor did she put on my veil properly. It came off as the event progressed. The whole experience was a nightmare for me. Sowmya also posts other people's work as her own. But smartly, she does this on whatsapp statuses and not Instagram so that other makeup artists cannot report it. I did confront her on one and she immediately took it down. She is a big time fraud. I got an anxiety attack on my wedding day because of her. DONOT BOOK HER. She will ditch you on your wedding day.

She’s the worst…..she charges a bomb for very average looking makeup…..I didn’t feel like myself at all after the makeup….she kept using hair extensions and other stuff without even adding me and demanded that I pay at the end….SHE’S CRAP……I would never recommend her to anyone

Although her makeup was good there are a lot of other makeup artists who can do a lot better than her for the price she is charging. At first she mentioned that she wouldn’t charge any travel fee within the Hyderabad city but when I was making my final payment she did charge and was very rude I just don’t recommend her to anyone never wasting my money around her and never recommending her to anyone! Please do a thorough research u have plenty of options out there don’t commit a mistake like me by booking her!!

I heard from friends that she is very good at her work...people are satisfied by her makeup work...

I wasn't in the country when we decided to work with Sowmya so I couldn't go through the usual trial process and then decide. But a few phone conversations with Sowmya and I was confident she'd be great! My trial was just a week before my wedding, but Sowmya put me at ease with her knowledge and friendly nature. She's open to feedback, very helpful with suggestions and what struck me most was, that I didn't feel like I was working with someone I barely knew. It felt like my best friend was my makeup artist! Sowmya was an absolute God-send on my D-day. My hair was perfect. My makeup was perfect. My girls, my mom, my mother in laws hair and makeup was all PERFECT. My mom and mother in law cried a LOT, their makeup didn't budge. My hairstyle stayed intact for over 14 hours. We had an early wedding -i needed to be at my venue by 10 am, and i needed to be taking my first look pictures by 9 am. So, we were up at 5 am, there was 4 girls. Sowmya had her own Wedding the following Monday, but she was still extremely helpful, all the way down to the day before the big day, as we tried to figure out how to squeeze 14 services in 3 hours. Her team was accommodating when I required a second hair trial because I did not like the style I had asked for during the first one. The second trial went extremely well, it was 4 days before the wedding, was when I was able to be squeezed in as I only had reached out to them a few weeks prior about my second trial request. We decided I could use some Hair Extensions so she had them ordered and delivered in time for the big day! Everything went off without a hitch...... Thank you sowmya? I do feel a lot cheated coz we ended up paying more than what was told to us earlier. Makeup was very average ,dint even stay for a hour on my face. She seems to be very selective about what products she has to use and to whom ! But fact is we all are paying the same amount. Kept increasing the amount for even a normal touch up . And we wer all in a hurry so cudnt even argue or dig into the issues. Complete disappointment.

Hi everyone.so after going thru a lot of profiles ,and reviews i booked sowmya.I was so excited just like any other bride. But from the time she came she started complaining about her previous session and that she was tired. She was so restless that she ended up giving me a worst makeover i literally got very upset but we dint say anything. She started nagging us to book her cab and wudnt wait for the second saree draping. I literally had to come to the room just to see her in mid of the pooja and dont forget i am the bride ! And lastly pls be careful with your jewellery and understand why i am writing this.am aint blaming anyone without proof but with the proof.

(Thank you sowmyamakeupartist ) my makeup was flawless the entire night. It made me smile (I’m not a smiler, as odd as that sounds) sowmya u did my makeup and my mom’s makeup. She was apprehensive about getting her makeup done (but was VERY excited about false eyelashes) and sowmya u nailed it.
